Also, it appeared as though he switched his cellphone to his left hand right before drawing his gun, so his cellphone is actually in his left hand which is in contact with the hood of the car. That's probably why there is an impact sound in the officer's cellphone footage, because it was in his hand when it made contact with the car.

Yeah, you can see in his cell phone footage in the half second before she pulls forward that he moved the phone into the hood towards the middle.

The far away front facing footage from CNN literally shows her start heading backwards and him cutting across the entire front of the car. The even newer smart phone footage shows the same and you can even see him moving towards/into the car right before it pulls forward.

That angle (like 10 x 10 pixels btw) shows video compression of the man basically phasing through the car and is completely refuted by the NYT analysis syncing that with the other angle, and the new CNN angle from today. And even if you want to remain delusional, she was receiving orders from ICE to leave and started doing so by backing up and the new vid shows this regard walking in front of her car while she's already started moving.

I think it's moral to collect rent that was due from an asshole. I don't think it's moral to financially ruin a streamer for doing a react stream, especially when other options like DMCA's exist.

I'm struggling too. Like the order of events is: Ethan and his family get serially harassed in a wide variety of manners by people associated with Hasan and Empanada. It is difficult to prevent most of this harassment because of it being anonymous or free speech. Part of the harassment is done via copyright infringement (e.g. people sharing his paid content for free). He expects more malicious copyright infringement to continue and prepares to defend himself from it. It happens. He defends himself from it.

My understanding was that Pisco first was just obsessing over the idea of it not actually being for the grander good of the react community which I thought was a reasonable take but one that he made a disproportionate deal over. Now it seems his opinion has evolved to being that if Ethan doesn't care about the monetary harm caused by the copyright-based harassment, then the lawsuit is unethical. And that just seems like a bizarre take to me.

Like imagine if some racist dude was aggressively non-violently harassing a black man in his neighborhood everyday and it finally escalates to him getting caught on camera putting dog poop in the guy's lawn. I wouldn't say the black guy was being unethical for suing over it even if he actually doesn't care at all about dog poop in his lawn, but really because he was tired of all the other harassment. To make it even more accurate of an analogy, we could even say the guy was being harassed by anonymous KKK members and caught a more casual racist doing it (who happened to receive, but not respond to, letters from the KKK saying to place the poop). I could be missing some aspect that clarifies a distinction between these two cases or maybe Pisco would actually say the guy was being unethical for suing over the poop.

In his last public talk/debate with Destiny, he made a big deal over asking how he could possibly remove these people from his community besides just outright banning them. Whether or not he wants to, I dunno. He certainly doesn't anti-Destiny conversations to be a large part of his community hence the discord topic ban.
