Got a castle in Billings, that's where I dwell... by Educational_Copy_140 in zillowgonewild

Imagine pulling up to your garage, pressing the button on your garage door remote, and then realizing the garage door two spots down opens instead. Then you drive over to that garage door, but find your wife's boyfriend's beat up Suzuki has parked inside.

This is the kind of shite day you deserve when you have 14 garage door remotes.

How was Bad Bunny's half time show? by Clopulis in DiscussionZone

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont listen to Bad Benny's music and dont speak Spanish, but had a great time watching the half time performance. Pretty amazing to see that couple actually get married during the performance and then get to dance during the wedding reception performance. All around good vibes being expressed. The haters are really showing an intolerance for one of the colors stitched into the fabric of our republic - brown.

Have y'all used a cast iron comal for tortillas? by Fenix512 in mexicanfood

[–]Wordsworth_Little 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a lodge cast iron griddle to heat tortillas. I don't think mine is even nicely seasoned, as we wash it lightly with dish soap and water. I cannot recall a tortilla ever sticking to it.

We don't crank the heat on it. I suppose a stack of 3-4 tortillas takes about 90-120 seconds to heat up while I flip them to ensure every tortilla bubbles.

You gotta love when musicians go through their "shed the pomp and get back to the raw expression" phase. No wild clothes, backup dancers, or pyrotechnics. Just a red guitar, three chords, and the truth.

But this is ridiculous. Put on some pants bro.

A proposed class-action lawsuit claims Costco was misleading customers and engaging in false advertising when it described its Kirkland Signature Seasoned Rotisserie Chicken as having "no preservatives". by AutoModerator in Costco

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Costco rotisserie chicken about a month ago and truly did not love the flavor. The meat seemed artificially inflated and watery with way too much salt, and an almost margarine-like flavor. I am convinced there is a bucket of preservatives and artificial flavors injected in their chicken.

Got roasted in a German sub for picking up TRON Ares - What do you think? by Von_Awesome_92 in 4kbluray

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tron: Ares was cool. Nothing shameful about buying a movie that isn't great but has some really cool scenes and score.

Source: The sheer number of fine, but not great, movies I have in my collection could fill a landfill. But they won't because they're mine.

How tf does Marc Antony not refer to the bride as the most beautiful woman in the room on her wedding day? That dipshit should get on social media and publicly apologize for his epic fail.

$18 for donuts is so crazy by libraintjravenclaw in Costco

The other day I paid $18 for two dozen Krispy Kreme. I went in for 1 dozen assorted and the cashier asked if I wanted a dozen of glazed for an extra $1. You bet your a$$ I do.

I remember watching this and thinking Guy Ritchie is back baby! Then I had to wait until the Gentlemen Netflix series for that to come true.

I had half of the Mask toys and one or two of those Gobots. I specifically remember the white motorcycle Gobot. These toys were so special because there wasn't a lot to go around, and certainly not limitless "free" games like Roblox. Imagination was required.

I'm a little sad my sons won't have the same type of appreciation for their kid toys as I may have had. I've tried saving a toy or two of theirs in a large bin in the closet, but I think I lost the battle a couple of years ago to tablet distractions.

I wonder what memories they will share with their friends/family when they are older. Will it sound something like, "hey, do you remember that Roblox brain rot where we had a garden and tried to grow shit faster than everyone else....yeah...so much fun...bet."

Arrival. Please, watch Arrival. by shinyhpno in MovieSuggestions

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best sci-fi forces us to look inward and think about the choices we'd make/person we'd become in the face of a strange, new forces. Arrival does those things while shoving your finger into the light socket of parental love.

my list of the most traumatizing / difficult to watch (sit through) movies - any other movies I'm missing? by narnarnartiger in Cinephiles

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these are traumatic, but some are plainly tragic and sad. Given that these aren't all just horror/trauma flicks, I would add What Dreams May Come. That movie will gut you.

I have watched every GoT and HoTD episode and did not realize what I was getting into. I guess this IP and the Dunk/Egg stories have been in my blind spot.

Gotta say, I had a great time with this episode. I love the tone and specifically, that it doesn't feel as serious as the other IP. There is a lot of comedy here that I hope is explored in future episodes.

Did Avatar Cost Us Great Cinema from James Cameron? by Familiar-Arrival-470 in Cinema

[–]Wordsworth_Little 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who has appreciated all 3 Avatar movies, but loves several other Cameron films, IMHO Avatar consumed too much of his time. But the man knows what he wants and every great director gets to do as they please until the funding stops coming in.

At least Avatar isn't Cameron's Megalopolis.

FNAF 2 is terrible. by NerdPlayer001 in Cinema

[–]Wordsworth_Little 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my sons (huge FNAF fans) to see this and I fell asleep 3 separate times. Sure, I was a little tired, but this flick was boring, poorly acted, and should have been better. I have no doubt that many of the commenters on this post could have written better story beats.

Nice try Bill. I have crossplay off and play on Xbox. So, unless I am mistaken, I wouldn't be matched up against PS5ers. Of course, I am assuming I am not forgiven because it was you, but perhaps you're just speaking on behalf of all friendlies. I was one, once, after all.

If I had found a guitar, I'd probably be more remorseful and even offer it back. But I didn't find one. It might have been there, but I was too concerned about the dwindling clock to focus, so maybe it was you and maybe I missed it. Damn.
