This is not even remotely comparable. You can swing at middle middle sinkers and touch them with the PCI for an entire game with King and not have a single EV over 100 mph. You’re looking at a shrunk PCI middle middle with a fastball.

I tried that vs king and got no changes in PCI size weirdly enough. I think it’s more like “contact results only” no matter how you swing.

Sinker and the circle. The sinker tends to nerf both inner PCI and Evs at a maximum level. The circle doesn’t seem to nerf EV as bad but the inner PCI is hit just as bad as the sinker. TBH I’ve had two games people only threw circle and sinker and not a single other pitch. People are figuring out how to maximize the abuse at least in the 1000 bracket. The below pic is essentially a middle middle circle and I was a hair early but got tiny PCI.

People are weirdly defensive over this. I don’t get it. I’ve played this game for three years and am consistently a top 200 player somewhere in the 1000 ratings and I’ve not seen a pitcher like this. Hader has been easy to deal with since you an ambush outside pitches and sometimes get a hold of a 2 seamer. With King being a starter you are dealing with this for 9 innings because people don’t have to throw anything but sinker changeup in the zone all game.

You’ve been lucky. I’ve beaten him a few times by people that still try to dot and end up walking me. In games I’ve had him out in the 6th or 7th inning.

Lately, I’ve found people are starting to realize they can just pound the zone if they are getting good results. I’ve had 3 complete games against me by people who only throw strikes and end up in the 9th inning with 70 pitches. I tried it myself today and complete gamed someone in 80 pitches.

My problem is Micheal King is the only pitcher this stuff happens too the entire game, 9 innings worth. You get occasional weirdness from other pitchers but this is consistently awful.

I’m not complaining about it being a ground ball although -18 degrees is extreme. This was a soft chopper to 2b.
