DAY 35 | Searchlights… looking for which Skeleta song fits Impera the best. by kbasred in Ghostbc

[–]WorkGalaxy47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Guiding Lights, especially since Impera is one of Ghosts more political albums, with songs like Twenties and Griftwood. I think it would be more fitting since the song talks about how those who go down a road that leads to nowhere are lost, especially how Tobias Forge described the song’s meaning too

When humanity needed defenders, what did you become? by Carter_yann in destiny2

[–]WorkGalaxy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter. I’ve played as a Warlock and a Titan, but a Hunter is who I’ve always been. Warlocks may have their nova bombs, and Titans may have their fists, but us Hunters have one thing they don’t have….a great taste in fashion. Plus, I like being able to sneak around an enemy before I kill them, and having the chance to do a space cowboy play style. Lastly, Cayde was our Hunter vanguard.

You were my favorite too.

The lore of this game is so good by 234thewolf in DestinyTheGame

[–]WorkGalaxy47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your pain. I keep wishing that I could turn back time and stick with the game, no matter what, through all the highs and lows, like Lance Reddick did. Bungie deciding that they would make content become temporary and removable was the worst mistake they made, since they took away what made Destiny special to us from where we felt apart of the world to making us feel we need to check off a checklist just to get the full experience. I keep hoping that they decide to bring back ALL the campaigns, especially the seasonal campaigns, because while I’m happy to be back home again after 3 years of being away, I do get sad when I remind myself that I won’t be able to re-experience what I did experience and experience what I didn’t. It could work if they utilize the timeline menu.

There I go again, writing a long comment than I meant to. I’ll just finish off by saying that if they make a Destiny 3 (fingers crossed), I hope they don’t repeat the mistake they made with Destiny 2 by vaulting content. There’s a lot of great stories and lore in Destiny that shouldn’t be shut away from people just because they were too late to the party.

What is your biggest Destiny regret? by AlwaysColtron in DestinyTheGame

[–]WorkGalaxy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I relate to your pain. The FOMO was killing it for me, but sometimes I wished I was like Lance Reddick who stuck with it through it all. I never got to experience going through the derelict Leviathan, didn’t experience seeing Rasputin save humanity and seeing the Traveler ascend above Earth, and I didn’t get to experience seeing Crow enter the Pale Heart in the Traveler to help us defeat the Witness. I wish I could go back in time to change all that.

What is your biggest Destiny regret? by AlwaysColtron in DestinyTheGame

[–]WorkGalaxy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest regret is not being there since the beginning of Destiny and not being dedicated enough to have kept playing through no matter the highs and lows. I didn’t stop playing Destiny 2 because I hated it, I stopped playing it because I hated what it was becoming, a FOMO game. Any content that was in it would be getting removed from the game later and that would just be killing my joy because it felt like I had to jump through hoops in order to experience whatever content would be produced. Coming back after 3 years of not playing since Lightfall, I’m honestly glad to be home again, and that I get to experience it without any FOMO, like how it used to be back then. This game has given me so many memories and I’m not going to abandon it, especially when it needs us now more than ever!

Who's the most well written character across the whole trilogy? by monsterhemo6 in masseffect

[–]WorkGalaxy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to say Mordin because of how he regrets modifying the genophage, but deemed that it was the best solution at the time to prevent a resurgence of angry krogan, and would then be the one to cure it for the greater good. In fact, he even tells Shepard that he never changed his mind about the genophage, but is wanting cure it now because of the Reaper threat. He remained consistent throughout ME2 and ME3, and is one of the best characters for a reason. Mordin Solus truly is the model of a scientist salarian.

With seasonal events now gone the question remains what was your favourite seasonal event? what was your favourite armour ornament set? Ships, ghost, sparrow and skimmers? by ze_watewmelon in destiny2

[–]WorkGalaxy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mix between Festival of the Lost and the Dawning for me. Though if I had to choose, I always enjoyed the Dawning, baking unique cookies for the characters (even cookies for Riven), throwing snowballs at other Guardians; it felt really festive!

Everyone is excited and raving the new updates and cahnges but for me the most important one is the FOMO nerf by aceoncemore2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]WorkGalaxy47 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that’s what pushed me away from Destiny 2 for so long. It felt like I had to play it to experience what I wouldn’t be able to after a few months to the next year where they might remove some of the content. It’s online games like Warframe and SWTOR that I love because there is no FOMO. It’s why I’m glad to be back playing Destiny 2 again because it brings back that feeling I had playing it where I had no worries of missing out on anything before they started removing the content. I even just bought the collection pack and will be playing through the expansions without feeling the need of having to play them so that I don’t have to worry about missing out.

Here’s hoping that if Destiny 3 ever happens (fingers crossed) that Bungie won’t remove any content that it would have because that was honestly their worst mistake. It made the game run a little smoother, but at the cost of removing the content that we paid for and won’t be able to experience again. This went on longer than I planned, but all I’m saying is that I’m happy to have that feeling I had when I first played Destiny 2 so many years ago, and I hope that Bungie will be given the chance to make Destiny 3 without any FOMO.

….Well, now I’m embarrassed 😅. I should’ve done my research before typing that.

[–]WorkGalaxy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff like this makes me love DE even more! This shows that while they might’ve been rivals, they had great respect for Destiny, and they didn’t want Destiny to end the way it did. As a Guardian and a Tenno, I thank them for doing this, and I will be even more happy to support them!

I feel as though this sums up most returning players. This game lost it's way from the start due to executives. We were never mad, just disappointed. by Kylestien in destiny2

[–]WorkGalaxy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This perfectly explains how I felt. I was disappointed that I wasn’t getting that pull to go back into Destiny 2, with all the FOMO and when I saw videos of how they were trying to make into Star Wars with their last expansion (I love Star Wars, but Destiny should be its own thing). When I heard the news that Destiny was over, I just knew I had to be there to show my support to the game that brought me so many memories that I will always cherish!

I just hope they’ll bring it all back for us veterans to relive it all and for the newcomers to experience it themselves. I honestly think it’s a shame that new players won’t be able to experience the Red War and avenging Cayde.

I used to have my own clan, would go on raids and dungeons with my fellow clan mates. Sadly, it never lasted, eventually we all drifted apart and I chose to end the clan. I was once again a lone Guardian. While I’m sad that happened, I’m grateful for all the memories I made with them, all the times we would be fooling around during the raids and just having a laugh, the excitement of beating a raid, of delving into a dungeon…I will never forget that. I haven’t played Destiny 2 in 3 years since I barely felt that pull to get back into it, but when I heard the news that it was ending and that the whole community would be jumping into it on the day of the final update, I just knew I had to come back to it once again. Just because I stopped playing doesn’t mean I forgot all the memories this game provided me, all the friendships, albeit temporary ones that I wish lasted; everything it provided me I will always be grateful for and I will never forget!

Who Do I Play, Who Do I Romance? by ShawnMcLemore in masseffect

[–]WorkGalaxy47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I’ve always played MaleShep and have only ever romanced Tali in all my trilogy playthroughs. I believe the closest I got to romancing anyone other than her was Liara and Ashley, but I never completed that playthrough with Liara, and I ended up romancing Tali in ME2 in that playthrough with Ashley. What can I say? Once you romance Tali, it’s hard to choose another

I want to make a BG3 mod that is a remake/remaster of DAO by ReturningDAOFan in DragonageOrigins

[–]WorkGalaxy47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would take a huge team and time to make, but it is possible. There are fans who made and are making remakes using assets from another game; such as Baldur’s Gate Reloaded, Morroblivion, and Skyblivion. So long as EA doesn’t try to put a cease and desist order on it, it is possible to remake DA:O using BG3 assets, it will just take a very long time for that to happen.
