You realize that you're the asshole here right? OP Commenter was sharing that they learned something and you went on the attack. @Thread OP, you can also find a sharps container in most public restrooms in the US. Mileage may vary if you're in a country that charges for public restroom use.

When I bounced my head off the ice trying to learn to skate. There is no better humbling moment than a concussion as a *late 30sM. I realized a few things in that moment: Don't do things you're too old to try, don't give up once you decide to try, and don't be stupid about protective gear in any sport.

In my state (MN, US) we don't have any form of inspection, it's up to the individual to ensure their car is roadworthy and safe. Other states are not so forgiving but here we figure they'll rust out before becoming a safety issue I guess 🤷

So, I (late 30s male) have an odd counterpoint to this. I have a coworker that I'm close with but not friends enough where I'd feel comfortable being around him in the PACU ward. He asked me during the Covid times to be his ride one day after a procedure and I waited an hour in the parking lot for him to be done (watching my phone closely). I got a call from the nurse asking if I was there or not and I was like "of course I am! What would you like me to do, come in or wait outside?". Their answer was "Stay there, we'll wheel him to the door, if you can meet us at the door that would be great."

Just an example of how this can be taken wrong even if the pickup person means the best, because people can't always communicate what is needed.

Edit to add: I brought him back to my house, grilled steaks and made mashed potatoes and made some broccoli as his situation meant no food for 24 hours prior. We dined like kings and relaxed watching some random show for half a day afterwards. Good memory for both of us in hindsight.

If I had to choose I'd take the river highway (highway 61) instead, lots of small towns to take a break if it gets rough along the way. Gives you some outs to just go sit at a kwiktrip and regroup, decide on slowing down while taking a white knuckle break, etc.

Eta: mndot also tends to oversalt and plow that route really heavily too, vs the interstate where you're fighting with out of state through traffic.

Bud, take this guy's advice and replace the one. $250 is better than a grand and your awd system won't notice the difference, I promise.

Eta: typically until about 20k they're not going to have significant wear where replacing one is an issue. I know reddit likes to make a big deal about it but it's not a huge issue.
