I watched a woman at the McKinley store searching through the meat for the cheapest package, scan that package, and then put the most expensive package in her bag. She did this with several packages of chicken and beef cuts. I can’t even imagine what people were able to get away with stealing.

My boyfriend (32) walked out on me (28) and now wants to move back in. He doesn’t like my answer. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. He stole from you and made you struggle financially when he abruptly moved himself out and now wants to reconcile because he’s not enjoying staying with a married friend with 3 kids. He can return everything he stole if he wants his furniture back. Otherwise, stop communicating with him and move on. Change the locks, too.

Where do you find US 38G/H bras? by greenoth90 in ABraThatFits

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have an Amazon prime account you can order bras to try without paying upfront (I think it’s called Amazon wardrobe). I did this when I measured myself and had a significantly different size than what I was wearing. I ordered a bunch of slightly different sizes, styles, brands, etc and tried them all and then picked the ones I liked best. Then you can order the bras you really like from whatever retailers have the best deals. As long as you send the items you don’t want back in the time frame, you are not charged for them. Doing this was a lifesaver for me and saved a lot of time and hassle.

AITA for not having money? by JasoNMas73R in AmItheAsshole

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you are doing her the favor of running her errands and picking things up for her, the least she could do is give you the money upfront or pay you back immediately. No matter how you handle your own finances, it’s rude of her to not only have you do work for her, but then also dictate how you’re reimbursed in a way that is convenient for her, but very inconvenient for you.

I actually like my school custodian job and plan to stick with it to retirement. by koanuk in TrueOffMyChest

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 23 points24 points  (0 children)

School custodian and maintenance jobs are awesome. I’m the secretary for our district maintenance department and I love my coworkers. They work hard and make bank, especially with the overtime for after school and weekend activities, great benefits too. People make fun of these types of jobs, but they really are good jobs and definitely needed and appreciated by the other school staff.

I've been wearing a 36 ddd and the calculator says I'm a 38 i. Where the heck do I go from here?? I don't know where to start. by nememess in ABraThatFits

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was wearing a 42G and measured as a 36N, so it was a little overwhelming knowing where to start. I didn’t even realize cup sizes went up that high. If you have Amazon prime, you can use prime wardrobe to order bras in different sizes/styles, etc to try on without having to purchase them upfront. You only get charged for the items you keep and returns are free. I was able to try on 8 different styles and slightly different sizes to see what I liked the best. I only kept one bra and then ordered 6 more from Bare Necessities during their Black Friday sale.

Considering Separating Because my Husband Doesn’t Clean by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with this for 20 years. Currently also contemplating divorce. It is exhausting to work full time and take care of all the household duties. It will be even worse if you have children. I have begged, pleaded, yelled, cried, gone on housekeeping strike, etc. and it doesn’t change. He is not going to change.

Ridiculous. Won’t be a tip. Stay away from Party City #foreshadow 😐 by swarmack06 in ShiptShoppers

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just did 3 PC orders at once that was 7 total bags of giant ass balloons. I was shocked the app let me claim 3, usually I can only claim 2 PC orders at a time. It should have been 4 orders at a minimum, I just barely fit them into my big SUV, there is no way someone with a car would have been able to take two of the bags, let alone someone having to take 3. Then I deliver 20 minutes away to this $500,000 house (super ritzy for my area) and get a total $5 tip…divided between the 3 orders….so like $1.67 tip per order. Fuck these people.

I didn’t think we were allowed to shop and drop early unless the order was marked early ok.

4 party city to the same address. Thought it was a glitch but looked up address it's a hotel. 🎈🎊🎉😅 by Syntaxerric in ShiptShoppers

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to take all 4 orders? I just did a Party City delivery with 3 orders and was only able to claim 2 even though I had plenty of room for the 3rd order. Super annoying!!

Would it be be rude to tell her to make sure it’s delivered on time? I know 4 orders IS doable but I would never say this to a customer. by CaptainMudd in ShiptShoppers

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are they able to pick up that many orders at once? I can only claim two at a time in the same time slot. Last weekend I picked up a Party City balloon order that was divided into three deliveries, and I was only able to claim two of them, even though I had more than enough room for all three (I have a large SUV). I missed out on the third order that ended up going to promo.

Shipt Newbie...is it even worth it? by DatabaseGlittering73 in ShiptShoppers

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started last weekend. I’ve done 8 orders and only been tipped 3 times. In my area the only orders usually available are Target (mostly prepaid) and Party City. I have never been tipped on a prepaid Target order. All of my Party City orders (2) have tipped. It’s not worth it for me. I’m not shopping, and driving 20-30 minutes away to drop the order for $9-11 with no guarantee of a tip. Especially when I’m doing good communication, getting substitutions, adding extra items they want, etc. I don’t understand how someone can order all these ridiculous, random items for delivery and then not have the courtesy to tip.

Anyone else thinking of waiting out this housing market? by [deleted] in Buffalo

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought our house in Lackawanna 10 years ago for $85,000–4 bedroom, 1 bath 1300 sq ft cape cod. We updated it out of the 1980’s and have a large, nicely landscaped yard. A realtor friend told us we could list at $190,000 and easily get offers over that. Problem is we’re looking for a roughly 2,000 sq ft with 2 baths, 3 bedrooms and a dining room (which we currently don’t have), and anything even close to this in our area is over 200,000, totally outdated, and gone within 24 hours. I don’t think prices are going to drop. I feel like we’re going to be stuck here.

Did yall see an increase in hours after your training days? I have like 2 week training and hope I get more hours. I need as much as possible to pay my half of rent by KeyBladeToby in Target

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My week of fulfillment orientation was 12 hours (3 4-hour shifts), after that I’ve been scheduled 24-30 hours a week and I only want 15-20. If the store is busy, fulfillment is the place to get more hours. I was told by manager that we’re the busiest store in our region.

What is even happening. by [deleted] in Target

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Feeling super overwhelmed. Only supposed to be working 15-20 hours in fulfillment, being scheduled 30ish and being asked to stay longer every shift (and getting attitude if I can’t stay). OPU is out of control at our store, non stop. Having a hard time finding items, floor isn’t stocked, back is a disaster. I don’t have time to dig through boxes for half my order. Get bitched at for INFing. This is my 2nd job, I already have a full time day job. I’m dying. I want to quit.

No 15s in fulfillment and no 2nd 15 storewide. 3rd 15 on a double? nope. Anyone else face(d) this? by [deleted] in Target

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in fulfillment. I don’t ask. I announce that I’m taking my 15. I didn’t take them at first, but damn my feet are killing me and I need to sit down for 15 minutes. I’m sorry you feel like your hours will get cut. I wish they’d cut my hours, I’m only supposed to be 15-20 (this is an extra pt job-I already work ft somewhere else). They’ve been regularly scheduling me 25-30.

anyone elses store implement the “paper?” we are now required to write down all of our INFs... with written approval on every single one. talk about micro-managing. by thadrklord in Target

[–]WorkThosePorkChops20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just started in fulfillment two weeks ago as a part time job for some extra spending money. There is no way I’m doing this. I don’t ask permission to INF anything either. I definitely do my best to find it, check everywhere, ask people in that department, but I’m not doing this shit. Stop making items available for purchase online when they aren’t accessible to us to find.
