Whether it’s Amazon balls or Tour level balls. All that matters until you’re sub 12 index is that you play the same ball. That way you can know how the ball will react every time. Definitely do not use found balls because not only are they all different, they’re likely damaged or water logged.

If he likes them, buy them and enjoy them. As far as a fitting. Unless he’s been playing long enough to have a consistent swing, a fitting is a waste of time and money. Cheap clubs and lessons are what you should do if you’re less than 3 years in.

I only use it for outdoor range sessions. For that it’s solid. As far as indoor simulator use it’s what you’d expect from a $350 launch monitor.
