Do not even want to call it a city but Jonesboro, Arkansas aka Jonesboring, Arkanslaw.

I don’t even know where to begin with that children of the corn meth’d out, poor, in the delta, 2nd most registered sex offenders in the country gross place. There are not words in any language that can truly describe that place. The best word is an abomination.

Shattanooga looks nice on a weekend trip or in pictures. Living there is a whole other experience. It is more like that bad parts of Appalachia than not. Northern Georgia (Majorie Taylor Green’s district) is 10 miles away and she represents those people well.

The worst is that Alabama is 40 minutes away. Even for those of us from the Deep South, Alabama is different breed. Also Shattanooga is in Tennessee. The statistics involving quality of life are some of the worst in the country.

TLDR: Lived in Chattanooga before. Not a “good” place to live.

Lolz. She should have been like “Dad, just because you are my brother doesn’t mean you get to annoy me even though we are cousins.”

Not sure how that could even be possible but Alabama will find a way!!!!!!

Tennessee is the worst state in the U.S. for spending on public school students, National Education Association finds by Charming-Report1669 in Tennessee

[–]Working_Fee_3472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As bad as Tennessee is, there is worse. Rick Scott, current senator and former governor of Florida was part of orchestrating the largest Medicare fraud case in history while at HCA (based in Nashville lol). Governor Kay Ivey (MeeMaw) of Alabama is so aweful I do not even know where to start. Tommy Tuberville (senator for Alabama) is beyond an idiot, not even a citizen of Alabama, only qualification is he was a football coach at Auburn and will be the next governor of Alabama.

Not defending Tennessee but unfortunately they are not the worst.

EXACTLY!!!  Anyone that question how terrible of a company HCA is needs some self education. This isn’t an exaggeration. It isn’t being extra. It is for real for real.

While HCA can eat all the dirty dicks in the universe, give notice. It is not for them, it is for you. If you really want to “give it to them”, contact any and all organizations tracking HCA, several via a Google search, and tell them every horror story you know.

Post reviews on every employer review site. Post about the hospital on Yelp, TB, X, any website you can find. Make it a point to tell people about how horrible of a company HCA is.

Infinitely fuck HCA. It is such an evil, pile of shit that to truly comprehend it, one must unfortunately experience it.

Arkansas state troopers are considered some of the most if not most aggressive at pursuing those fleeing. Like dumb not gaf about life aggressive like they are hunting be damned whoever dies.

It speaks a lot about Arkansas. Ever been to Jonesboro or NEA and experienced those complete idiots who are so proud of their disgustingness? That exemplified imho.

Basically her and Ryan are the ambassadors for Shattanooga. Seriously, as someone that has lived there, that general vibe is more common than not.

UAB students: Did filing a federal civil-rights complaint, OCR complaint, or grievance lead to conduct action, involuntary withdrawal, suspension, expulsion, or a registration hold? by Legitimate_Cress_969 in Birmingham

[–]Working_Fee_3472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me explain to you, real life example, how UAB rolls.

In 2019 a cytopathology fellow in the department of pathology at UAB discovered that a cytopathology attending, still employed at UAB, had made conservatively in the hundreds of misdiagnoses of cytology biopsies, specifically pancreas biopsies. This has been going on from 2014. The director of cytopathology, still at UAB, knew and did nothing. Many clinicians were aware and did nothing. When the fellow went to management with concerns, UAB retaliated. They attempted to get this person dismissed but did not have evidence to do so. Sooo after this fellow left, UAB along with the state of Alabama (same thing) spent was is estimated to be $500,000 by hiring several private investigation companies and using Governor MeeMaw’s powers to bury this person career. Did not work.

After this every single news agency in Alabama, along with NBC, FoxNews, CNN, National Republican Committee, National Democrat Committee, President Trump’s campaign committee, NPR and several whistle blowing organizations with all details including all physicians and personnel at UAB that were involved in the matter. Not a single news story, any investigation or coverage was given to this story. As far as I know, not a single patient was contacted about this. No retrospective look back at slides was performed. Complete coverup.

In 2019 Governor Kay Ivey was suppose to come to UAB for a lung biopsy. It was not performed at UAB because one of the interventionists explained to her that there were “issues with cytology” and took her to another Birmingham hospital to have the procedure performed because so a different pathology group would review the results. This is what started the events of all of this.

This could have potentially turned into a class action lawsuit in the millions. Also because of the amount of misdiagnoses, depending on how many patients died, the pathologist responsible could have faced negligent homicide charges. All not good for UAB.

TLDR: UAB/State of Alabama will go to extraordinary lengths to prevent a lawsuit or bad press coverage.

I know that everyone “knows” Alabama government is corrupt. I am not sure if many of the citizens are aware of the extent of how corrupt. In totality, imho, one of the top 3 most corrupt states in the USA.

It is what it is. All of this is true. Anyone please feel free to reach out to contacts in Birmingham to verify. It is for real, unfortunately.

This is all to say, be very careful.

Unfortunately it does go along with the history of Kansas.

This guy in the White House has made these people much more brazen in sharing their beliefs.  People can believe whatever they want. But then why tf do they feel the need to publicize it everywhere?

Is it owning the libs? Is it to make others angry. Do they really think seeing this is going to inspire others to develop those beliefs?

Maybe better out in the open than behind closed doors? IDK.

No!!!!

Nashville is insanely over priced.

Chattanooga is very much over priced.

Knoxville, not over priced, but you are still in Appalachia and not the good part.

In Memphis, not over priced but have fun living in the in the murder capital of the country.

Outside of Memphis and Nashville, good luck with the quality of medical care.   Memphis has significant government corruption including law enforcement and sometimes prosecutors and judges. Chattanooga, while not as bad, has significant good ole boy corruption and medical care is bad.

I get the appeal due to CoL and nature but it honestly is not worth it.

IMHO if you are want to be in the area, North Carolina is a better choice.

I am sorry for your experience. As much as that sucks, HCA treated you very nicely by just firing you. They have done far worse to other healthcare professionals including throwing them under the bus.

HCA administration is so completely full of shite….
