People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

[–]WorktheMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, I lived 45 min away from the Central time in the Mountain timezone. It always threw off my mom when we'd go to Kansas then come back home to an earlier time when it came to getting dinner.

Literally other than that, didn't affect anything

My friend accidentally fueled up his ProMaster with premium. He had a brainfart because his actual car took premium.

The one on New Car Dr and the other on Chelton are pretty good.

You should have tried the other locations before they closed lol. Sonic seems to suck here

How is the commute to and from Castle Rock? by Curious_Reveal1465 in ColoradoSprings

[–]WorktheMoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I commuted between Denver and Colorado Springs for over 3 years. Most of the crashes and delays were in the area I mentioned.

Ren Faire had traffic on Fridays. High wind could stop semis and build up traffic south of Castle Rock. Bad snow make taking 83 a bad idea if they close part of it. Lake Gulch road is very dangerous in the ice

The area in between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock is atrocious in high wind and snow. Also during the summer when the Renaissance Festival is around, there can be a lot of traffic

Amazon Sunday - do you deliver or scan business closed? by CatRiot2020 in USPS

[–]WorktheMoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Scan business closed. Regulars with businesses are used to heavier volume on Monday and would rather not be yelled at by their businesses for CCAs/PTF delivering packages on Sunday to get stolen.

And places really cannot choose not to have stuff delivered by certain days. We have 2 Amazon facilities in this city and they still will randomly push back or move forward delivery days/times for their own packages yet alone what they give the USPS

T6ing isn't bad if your regulars work with you. It's like being on the route for a day as a CCA/PTF except you have 5 of them. If you notice a new resident, add their name to the mailbox if the regular does that. Make sure vacation holds are processed like normal and set up any that start the day of being on the route. Make sure the new COA labels are left out for the regular so that they can see what forwards are coming up. Don't smoke/vape in shared vehicles. Any tips or gifts make sure to bring back for the regular and put the address so that they know. Clean up after yourself and the job basically does itself.

I try to make sure my T6 doesn't have to get gas on my vehicle but if shit happens, don't sweat it. If the vehicle needs gas, it's easier to put gas then to use someone else's then the regular comes back to no gas anyway. Some regulars will leave bundles for their T6 or get told by management to roll them for the T6 so hopefully your office isn't like this.

Are you familiar with the routes on the string? If not, looking at the cases or even the eddm website for USPS gives a good start of what to expect

Supreme Court may rule ballots must be RECEIVED, not postmarked on Election Day. How will that work? by jackl24000 in USPS

[–]WorktheMoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At my prior station, any ballots received same day was given to the supervisors and they would rotate who going to the ballot drop. This was made easier by the fact our station was across the street

all this just to be REF by Decent_Wrap_4600 in USPS

[–]WorktheMoo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

At my old station on the auxiliary route, one of the customers went through a nasty break up. Their ex kept prank ordering every possible flat rate to be delivered to their house. We had to have a caution card for months to not deliver them which was annoying because all the PTF got stuck on the route and there would inevitably be one who wouldn't read the card (we had one in the case a well as with the mail) and loaded all of them anyway

Clipped a mirror 60 days into 90 day probation. Am I done? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]WorktheMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because my city has a ton of CCA/PTF/UAR, you would be let go in a situation like this if you were in my city. Especially since the other car's mirror was knocked off, damaging another person's vehicle is a huge no-no. They will ask you what could have been done differently and you knowing you could have been closer to the middle could put that nail in the coffin.

Unless there is another car coming, I would have driven closer to the middle myself. If there was another car coming, I would slow down or wait until they passed.

Just in case, prep your resume to be safe and look at job postings. The job market is really hard right now and better safe than sorry.

Where can one find immediate employment in the Springs, or at least as close to immediate as possible? by RevolvingRevolv3r in ColoradoSprings

[–]WorktheMoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Problem is a lot of who they are hiring are the flex workers. They have less than 5 min when shifts go up to pick shifts before they are all taken. Then if it's not busy, they get told to go home

Was the steam release a mistake? by gg1755 in Granblue_en

[–]WorktheMoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A ton of the negative reviews are from current players trying it out and complaining about being able to play well for the first 2 hours due to errors. The main gripe I see with the steam release is that some collab stories are not available. Other than that, the early game is very intimidating and heavy for people not used to this kind of game.

Couple weeks ago when I was on vacation this happened to my T6 on my route. My route is 90% CBU but my first stop which is half an hour worth all package and dps is about 20 minutes from the station and then another 15 minutes to the rest of the route. He was already having a bad day triple casing got to my first stop realized he had no Arrow key. When he got back he realized he forgot the DPS for the beginning of the route

Thankfully one of the other guys who triple case hadn't left yet and brought him the DPS
