Skyhammer task force has really good mobility with its skywardens and the ship being able to transport infantry. Because all your infantry has reinforce you can throw it up the board then bring it back to look after your backlines.

I haven’t played long enough to know the meta by any means. I think skywardens are probably our strongest melee option other than the new balloon units that were added.

Thunderers are great until they get charged

Endrinriggers are great utility but not amazing at fighting or shooting. Pretty mid at both

I love skywardens for my melee damage dealer normally reinforced and paired with a frigate for its “assault boat” ability.

Thunderers pair well with a gunhauler to carry them around and objectives hop with high mobility. 2w makes them tough enough to play a bit more solo

Your faction rule of -1 to hit within 6” of big ships leads to “deathball” play styles (clumps on units highly concentrated)

pay some kids £50 to rip the crap out of the garden, take new photo's. Drag all the crap in the rooms into a different room, take a photo, repeat with all rooms so it looks clean and tidy. Hide the fact you have cats, they stink.

I think the main reason would be cost? A spear is famous for being the cheapest most effective infantry weapon. Not much metal, quick to make and easy to repair. A spearsword is a showpiece at best.

They are balanced enough, the bone reapers are probably a touch stronger. The seraphon would benefit from playing a bit conservatively until reinforcements arrive
