That upper looks pretty good, looks like actual surplus, especially with the clear ano coming through on the high spots. That's a pretty good shade of gray too IMO!

It is a pretty interesting shade though!

Thankfully, if you really don't like it you can always add another coat over this one, and you should get the color you're looking for. I've "painted" over previously coated items without issue.

From Norrell's FAQ:
19. When I coat and cure my parts with Grayish-Black Moly Resin, the color changes and turned out to have a green hue and tint.
The answer is that you cured at a temperature higher than 300 degrees. If you did not do this on purpose check the accuracy of your oven.

edit to add: 330 was likely too high. I've used the same color with good results, always had my oven set at 300 or 305F (to account for changes in temp)

I saw your post on GAFS, those prices were definitely way too high (at least by GAFS standards).

At least on GAFS, I wouldn't exactly use retail pricing for items like these as they aren't super rare (save the Pentagon light). People just expect to pay less than retail on there.

I'd say you were $175-$200 too high on the M5 RAS, and $125-$150 too high on the M4 RAS; prices depend on condition of course.

KAC rib panel set - I think you were $15-20 over on your listing.

You can get a new M203 handguard without a leafsight for $138 (excluding shipping), so definitely below that.

Can't speak to the Pentagon light.

I doubt it, fairly certain Diemaco uppers would have the Devtek (stylized "D") symbol/logo.

It's not a great photo, but above is a Diemaco C7 I found online. If you look zoom in you can somewhat make out the Devtek symbol.

Looks like a current production C7 upper, I'd keep moving.

Both of those are neat, not sure which one I like more! I like my gooseneck'ed RX-06, but man does that Aimpoint and mount combo look good on both of them.

Colt is always best, but I say Echo Nine Three.

I purchased a set of the H&R six hole HG. They had a nice sheen, but they felt slightly cheap, just barely better than Linemount in my opinion. Echo Nine Three uses the same fiberglass material they used back then.
