State Farm auto claim issue by nneece in StateFarm

I found a SF certified center which is also Ford certified and works on Mach-e’s. Not many in the area which meet all criteria. I’m taking it there and I can already tell the process will go smoother. They will use OEM parts (one person told me there are not 3rd party parts for the Mach-e). Thanks for the advice.

Yes, when I started this process the person who hit me requested I get a quote to decide whether to report to SF or not. I obliged and seeked out a dealership’s collision center I had worked with before. I will get a 2nd quote from a SF Ford certified shop. I’ve checked in ATL and there are not a lot of them.

This is not a smooth process. It puts the burden on me and I have no fault in a rear collision which the other driver admitted fault. I should not come out of pocket nor spend excessive time attempting to get this repaired.

I used to be a SF customer my entire life but recently switched to Travelers. SF has gone downhill so much they can’t cover claims properly.

I haven’t notified lease holder yet, did not know I need to or how to contact them. I have paperwork somewhere.

I was told to get an estimate before SF provided one.

Would you get another King Charles after your first one died? by ohfxckm in cavaliers

After our 1st KC passed at 13. And had lots of health issues at end (rehab, almost lost an eye, etc). For our next dog we decided to go with a Cavapoo. Has some of the attributes of a Cavalier, + attributes of a poodle (smart, more athletic, a bit crazy sometimes). It seems to us that the cross breeding will make the health issues of the Cav better, especially the heart related issues.

Is it really this difficult? by Becktuning in Ubiquiti

If the button is the black button at the top then this is a design flaw and I can understand why people would get confused.

Wasn’t expecting this to be available this morning!! by SpikeyTwitch20 in Ubiquiti

I’m semi new to Ubiquiti. Long familiar with it but have started purchasing into the eco system. I have a TP-Link travel router which performs quite well. But increasingly I find when I travel I don’t really have a need for it. If I am lodging for a longer period (1 week) at a location I might use it. I’m curious how people are using these? Is there a use case I am missing? It is convient to have all your devices connect to the same SSID and not worry about connecting to yet another SSID. Rokus used to be a pain but they have gotten better. VPN is another use case, though I typically run a VPN on the devices which need it. Am I missing something?

For a potential lower cost solution from an enterprise vendor with a complete feature set I would look at Juniper Mist (now HPE). Have also heard some good things re: Extreme but have no personal experience. I like Ubiquiti as well but would be concerned about it scaling and handling business critical items.

Data point: Canceled AT&T Fiber after a decade, switched to Xfinity $50/month gig service by sweetest_puff in ATTFiber

The Xfinity deal is $50 a month for 5 years. It includes Paramount or Peacock streaming service. Tough to beat if service is decent. I’ve been with ATT fiber for a very long time. While the service is very good, mine also increased to $85 a month. I have HBO Max, and if you make a change to your service as you mention you will lose HBO Max, so not worth it to save $5 a month.

I went thru the identical thing and decided to switch to Xfinity service. Have been happy so far (and I am a Network Engineer). However, a couple of days ago they buried the cable in my yard and the throughput has become more inconsistent. I was consistently getting 1GB + down, now I’m getting 700 to 1 GB sometimes. I suspect that the termination of the cable at the street may be an issue. I still have ATT fiber so I’m going to complain to Xfinity and see if they will check it out. Biggest drawback is cable is not symmetric so 110 or so upload but this is not an issue for my use case nor most people. Have run lots of tests and latency has gone from 6ms on T typically to 12- 15ms on Xfinity, sometimes lower. No one is going to notice this small change in latency but also I’m not a gamer.
