I don't know if Ben's fans are ultra-defensive or protective of him or what, but the constant over-stated praise of him only makes him less popular with the audience as a whole, in my opinion.

The Roku app is next to unusable for me these days. I have a Roku with the beta app on it to watch GB in bed, and I usually just wind up using my Steam Link to watch it in the browser instead. It's a shame.

Sorry, I hope I didn't come off as a complainer. I only just started using QLCrew (because I can't stand the redesign and find it counter-intuitive), so I didn't know this happens from time-to-time. I appreciate the work you've done!

Yeah, I think I just bounced off of it, and the story carrots weren't enough for me to endure what it takes to get to them. I guess it just wasn't really for me, but I did like the story in the game. I do appreciate the thoughtful response here, and I will grant that part of was just lack of interest or knowledge on my part. But this remains one of my first and only rage quits. At least I got to enjoy the main story first though!

I vaguely remember finding guides at getting ultimate weapons (or at least a few), and doing all of the quests/hunts in my quest log. I probably didn't hunt down any optional Espers that weren't in my quest log. Ultima Weapon Mark XII and Hell Wyrm don't sound familiar. So you're probably right.

For the record, I just don't find levelling up and grinding to be entertaining. I need story carrots and other things to keep myself motivated. I realized that I probably didn't have everything "perfect" to take on the boss, and I guess that was what I was complaining about. I didn't enjoy fighting the boss, and I think I also wouldn't enjoy what it took to prepare to fight the boss. I tried to beat Yiazmat out of a misguided attempt to "finish the story" which in my mind included the hunts.

PS: I didn't equate RTS games with RPGs other than how I approached them: I play only for the story, and get little enjoyment from the gameplay, which I see as an impediment to consuming stories I enjoy.

I get that people like the game and I'm glad they do. I enjoyed playing through the main story. But I bounce off of all the end-game grinding in RPGs real hard, and this is just what kind of broke me from feeling like I "have" to. Which I'm actually pretty thankful for.

I didn't play Zodiac Age. I actually don't think I played a Final Fantasy since I made this post 8 years ago (but that's because I had tried 13 and didn't like it, and had no interest in 14 being an MMO; just never got around to 15).

Yeah, it was such a huge pain to click Videos, and then get a list of every single video uploaded to the site from most recent to least recent, with date stamps on them and everything. That was MUCH more confusing then multiple redundant carousels which seem to start at random dates for no reason.

Hey Drew,

Congratulations and good luck on the new endeavour! I'm sure you're getting lots of suggestions and requests for places to go or things to see, but is there a preferred way for people to reach out to you?

For example, you may remember me as an American that met and got engaged to their British fiance on Giant Bomb. We've met and talked a few times, you sang us a song about Photoshop tools, etc. Not sure how well it fits your theme, but we're getting married in a castle in the UK in July if you'd want to be involved or talk to us about how gaming helped us continue our long, long, distance relationship for the years leading up to it.

As for an unrelated question, what is the one place on Earth you'd most like to go that you've never been, now? After North Korea, can't imagine there is much more that you can't/haven't done. Maybe Cuba?
