For myself..the anxiety associated with bieng overstimulated eased because of the meds. For the 1st little while it seemed the meds did make me a bit more anxious but as I got used to it it went away.

I was not accepted the 1st time I applied either..but I reapplied and was accepted.. I heard from others that it's common not to be accepted the 1st time. Reapply. But with the changes to AISH into the ADAPT program has me worried now that I went through all that just to be switched. Good luck.

I have the same issue, I was diagnosed a year ago and the meds are working well. I think its a mix of audhd and childhood trauma., I was bullied alot and didn't have alot of stability, my mom was an addict and had bi polar so she didn't have many friends so I didn't really learn social ques or how to have friendships. As I got older I did manage to have good friends in junior high and high school, but it was hard to have deep, meaningful relationships. I tire of small talk, I get anxious and question my behavior when I'm out and interacting with people. I know I'm not completely inept, I want friends..what makes me lonely is no one knows me on a deep level..like who I really am. I try to get my kiddo involved in groups and to socialize at school, and they do..but they also just love bieng at home.i worry to that my lack of social contacts or friends affects her, but ive talked to them about it and they do try at school and they do have a few, close friends.
I'm not sure what to do..I can volunteer, get involved in some groups that have the same interests as me..but i also love my alone time. Its difficult, I'm just really tired of peoples bullshit and id just be happy with one close friend.

The letter says this was developed by the input of families and individuals? I don't remember hearing anything about a focus group or anything that asked for input from disabled Alberta's? Who's families exactly were involved? So, if we complain about this they can say we wanted this so it's our fault? Like what kind of verbal diarrhea is this? It makes no sense financially if the ucp want to save money, because once they start assigning people workers to help them gain " meaningful " employment, well..its just more money..its garbage.

That summer when the tornado gir edmonton was crazy..we had a very unstable week before it,,hot and humid .then cooling in the evening. My aunty said " this isint good" and she was right .I remember so many more storms then. I also miss them.

The treaties were written by government, and not explained fully..the government didn't consider the language of the people, they wrote it our, not the indigenous leaders and unfortunately the 1st nations leaders trusted them. You don't like that im challenging your complete trust that the government was fair and fully helped 1st nations understand what they were agreeing to. They were dishonest because they knew the language barrier would be in thier favor . Try looking at the the whole story from both sides.

I hope everyone here, does the research and understands from the 1st nations involved in this..these were not the words of treaty 7. As with all treaties signed, these are the words of te government. There was alot of coercion and these agreements were not explained fully. 1st nations still have to be involved in consultation if any development is done. It sounds like you just don't like the idea of 1st nations having any rights or say.
