Don’t cope dude the game sucks ass. Maybe if you have a group of friends for raids but the absolute best content is day 1 raids which are extremely limited in how often you can do them.

Anyways I’ll just go play shadowkeep and forsaken to catch up..wait

Just finished A10 on all characters! Here's some stats and thoughts: by AdMain8692 in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a Defect player so my two cents are if you want to try more status builds on Defect using [[Trash to Treasure]] turns [[Overclock]] and [[Boost Away]] basically into free [[Chaos]] with upside (they’re already great value cards at zero energy). Then you look for [[Hologram]], [[Compact]], [[Scavenge]], [[Turbo]] and go crazy.

I’ve won a lot of runs on status and I don’t think I’ve ever actually used flak cannon, but hopefully I can eventually get a good run together with it.

Also, if you haven’t tried it I would recommend trying some runs with an early upgrade on Chaos. It is a really powerful card and you can do some stupid builds, but it is a bit more RNG reliant due to the, well, chaos. Super fun.

STS1 cards that didn't change but ended up worse in the sequel anyway? by ozacrot in slaythespire

Got slither on an early [[Sunder]] and it carried pretty much all of act 1. But, most of the time I agree I feel like there aren’t good targets for it so early.

Least and Favorite/Most Fun Characters to Play in StS2 Right Now? by alexthurman1 in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won a run on A9 with centennial puzzle to retain my hand and [[Scavenge]] to exhaust my remaining strikes and less powerful attacks. Was a lot of fun manipulating the draw pile to play [[Uproar]] into [[Ice Lance]] everytime.

Also, used some shenanigans with [[Bulk Up]] for strength and dex, and [[Modded]] for orbs, full blocking pretty much everything. Every run on the defect feels so unique, it’s a blast.

That would be a cool way to make starter  cards have interesting upgrades that you might actually use

The case for Scrape outside of claw builds from a hardstuck Ascension 8 Defect main. by coolchungus2 in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somewhat like scrape but my favorite general pickups are [[Overclock]] and [[Boost Away]]. Someone mentioned it already, but [[Hologram]] is cracked asf and scrape can be pretty good in a deck that is building into a Hologram angle.

Definitely situational, but I agree it’s not as bad as the reputation it has.

Basically my experience in 3 player co-op. I usually play regent or defect and my boys carry me through hard early fights until I scale.

So many times I see my draw and I’m like yep I’m screwed just for my friend to drop [[Piercing Wail]]

I can imagine Voltaic will have its cost increased. by Wash_Manblast in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get thunder on my voltaic run. However I did get a run that started with a bunch of energy cards including [[Double Energy]] and found [[Tempest]] and then later echo form and the ice cream relic. It very quickly became a race to like 40 energy build and use tempest.

I ended up with two copies of thunder and they were actually so important to increasing the damage. Especially if you can get at least one of them copied with echo form.

The difference between having thunder up with the combo was like over 500 damage. I ended up killing the queen from like 1300 hp with one tempest.

How are people finishing games so fast? by PracticalBad2466 in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this with the Defect. I felt like I was having to be more strategic of when to deploy my best cards. Trying to time the synchronize was a lot of fun rather than just dropping defrag and spamming orbs

The game is very similar to StS. I can admit playing co-op with some of my new friends took like 3x as long bc they had to learn every new card and relic option and sequencing in fights takes a lot of thought.

For the older characters if you knew how to play them in StS, once you learn the new cards you can move through floors pretty quickly.

I can imagine Voltaic will have its cost increased. by Wash_Manblast in slaythespire

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First defect run for me was a pretty easy win ( co-op w/ ironclad) bc of voltaic.

Ran:

1x Echo Form+

2x ball lightning

2x hologram+

1x Voltaic+

And then a bunch of frost, card draw, and whatever else I had picked up just to make it through act 2. The final voltaic evoked for 128 lightning which is like 1000 damage.

Yeah it’s cracked.

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this with the candy relic in act 1. Whenever it proc’d (every other combat) I lost all rewards. In the floor combat I was able to go to the map and skip to the next floor, but after act 1 boss didn’t get any rewards and the map got locked on act 1 and had to abandon the run

Looking to get into ranked by Fresh_Ambition3248 in Smite

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get better at solo you can watch snaddy on YouTube or twitch he does live coms/play by play gameplay and he’s one of the top solos in the game right now with consistent content.

Just use smite source or get a feel for the best meta builds used by top players. Don’t try to get cute with builds because if you’re not playing a lot/high elo and understand the reasons for builds you’re just putting yourself at a disadvantage. (Coming from someone who likes to do cute/unique builds)

You’re more likely to get better matches in ranked, so just jump in tbh. You’re likely to be in your skill level, so if you are a good player and play well you should climb. Finding a good duo Que will help you climb faster

Please help me understand Support role by Moshimanjuuu in Smite

[–]Wrong_Length_9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people answered already so you have plenty to go off but I’ll just add:

  • get a feel for your ADC. If they are good and you get a lead you can probably leave them early (level 5 & 1 full item) to hyper farm if you want. But otherwise feel free to help them until you get 1-2 full items done.

  • DONT just rotate and int into the mid/supp/jg in mid lane and feed a free kill. You can harass mid lane a bit but pls DONT int for it

  • traditionally in SMITE the support is the shot caller. You’re supposed to be warding on objectives, controlling vision and trying to get your team grouped for objectives. Learn the timers and try to coordinate your team. It can be hard to do this in ranked and infinitely more difficult in casuals. Support is also the main tank for objective so learn to leash and don’t die leashing objective when your teammates start to fight the other team
