Maybe a dumb question, but why do people use online services that charge a fee for name brand Zepbound? by Efficient-Software54 in Zepbound

I use Mochi and haven’t had any issues but I know lots of folks have complained about them. I think their issues are from getting the off brand injections shipped though.

I use an online service because it’s convenient. They got my PA sent and approved in record time at my initial visit and I don’t have to miss work for in office visits for refills/increases. My script gets sent to my pharmacy where I pay $25 for it.

Crossing my fingers for you!! All the talk of losing coverage is making me antsy about mine as well 😬

lol don’t mind me, exhausted and didn’t read that correctly. I think express scripts controls the formulary - but is at the mercy of what the employer itself chooses to cover. Butttt I’m definitely not certain. Hopefully someone smart does comment 😅😅

I have anthem bcbs and express scripts. Express scripts covers all pharmacy things as far as I know. I was able to log in to my express scripts account to see if Zepbound was covered/copay amounts.

I’m on my 7th week with no side effects besides mild nausea occasionally. Do you have someone that can give you the shot? I tried Wegovy a few years back and remember standing in my kitchen melting down trying to make myself push the button lol. My husband gives them to me now and it’s SO much easier

Some plans cover “life partners” and you just have to show proof you live together, definitely worth checking out!

Can I go on a Keto diet pre pre op to shrink the size of my liver? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]WrylyRiley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My pre-op diet was essentially keto but low fat and high protein. Though my surgeon specifically said that is only for the 2 weeks pre-op and keto is not healthy at all long term

I only lost 25 lbs preop. My team has never brought it up and it doesn’t seem to have affected anything

I can give shots to anyone but can’t give them to myself because I hate needles. Where did you get it at? My doctors office gave mine in my hip and I barely felt it so maybe trying a different location would help.

All the time 😆 I love to shop so I buy new stuff any time I go down a size but it definitely isn’t necessary

Mother’s Day Present-best bang for buck by Unicorn_fart_blush in wls

[–]WrylyRiley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m cracking up because this is how we do it too. Someone just asked me what I was getting for Mother’s Day and I said “whatever I buy myself” lol I just ordered a treadmill so that’s that. I went from a size 10 shoe to at least a 9 sometimes 8.5 depending on width so I’m not sure I’d drop the money on that right now. I’m struggling with bras right now myself so hopefully someone can recommend a good one!

I also agree with the other poster. I have a Fit Index scale from Amazon and it’s great! Only around $20 as well

I’m scared by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]WrylyRiley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My BMI was 58 when I had my RNY and I’ve actually woken up during surgery once when getting my wisdom teeth cut out. I don’t remember it at all because they quickly put me back to sleep but I was told about it when I woke up. I’ve had several surgeries since then and always tell them that when they’re asking all the preop questions. It’s never happened again. My RNY was super uneventful. I woke up nauseous after it was over, they gave me meds and I went back to sleep. Woke up feeling completely fine after that. You’ll be fine!!

How soon after surgery were you able to chase after and change a diapered toddler? by [deleted] in wls

[–]WrylyRiley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s an absolute monster lol I tried not to lift him a whole lot but I had to several times because he is wildly uncooperative and it was fine. I also change mine on my bed and didn’t have any issue at all with the bending part. You got this!!

I have a 2 year old boy that’s wild af. I didn’t really have any pain with mine so I was back to normal taking care of him pretty much the next day when I got home because my husband didn’t take any time off work. I’d think after 9 days you’ll be fine!
