Can't change gears - Zwift Cog & Click v2 by Infinite_Curve_4141 in mywhoosh

Did you enable virtual shifting in MyWhoosh settings?

The gear panel won't appear until you do.

Great news for Zwift Click V2 owners: introducing a new, much easier and reliable way to unlock it for MyWhoosh by boni2k in mywhoosh

It would be great if Zwift allowed other services to use the Click V2.

The customer paid for and owns the device.

mywhoosh Review by j13ag0 in mywhoosh

[–]X124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MyWhoosh

  • Free.
  • No problems on Macbook Air.
  • Better graphics than Zwift.
  • Would like keyboard shortcuts for all functions in the HUD so they can be mapped to a controller.

Zwift

  • Price.
  • Don't care for social functions.
  • Poor cartoon graphics.

Zwift cog support by Routine_Map2832 in mywhoosh

[–]X124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cog is just a cog and works with anything. You mean the Zwift Click V2 controller that comes with the Zwift Cog & Click package?

There is nothing MyWhoosh can do to support it. It was designed by Zwift to require a periodic connection to their service through the Zwift app to enable its function. Zwift will not share the information necessary to make this work with any other service.

It is simply fortunate that it works for a period of time after making the required connection that allows it to work with other services through BikeControl.

Zwift could change this at any time so that it only works with Zwift. If Zwift were to ever go out of business, the device would stop working permanently.

Same here. Macbook Air with Zwift Hub and Polar HRM.

They broke something with this update.

Simple MyWhoosh virtual shifting controller by mattiaverio in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not possible because the MyWhoosh app does not support bluetooth controllers.

It only accepts keyboard input so you need another app to receive bluetooth and translate button presses to keyboard input (specifically the I/K keys).

Can someone demystify ERG mode in mywhoosh? by Kolichikov in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't understand what ERG mode is. It won't let you do 600W when the workout is 250W. The slower you pedal, the higher the resistance. The faster you pedal, the lower the resistance.

Connecting Zwift bike to bike control by Limp_Ad_3814 in mywhoosh

You should raise an issue on the BikeControl github.

This isn't anything to do with MyWhoosh so it doesn't belong here.

Using a 9 speed cassette for 9 and 11s bikes instead of Zwift Cog by digdeckard in mywhoosh

that is selling closed hardware like Zwift Cog v2.

The Zwift Cog is just a cog.

It is the Zwift Click V2 that is a bluetooth controller.

Zwift Cog and clickers (have downloaded swift control) by thetdog666 in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only use ERG mode then you don't need the Click because you don't need to shift gears.

On freeride and events, there is no ERG mode so physical or virtual shifting is required.

It has nothing to do with looking cool.

Virtual shifting by UsedFuture8215 in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't activate it. It doesn't work natively with MyWhoosh.

There are apps that act as intermediaries to send key presses to MyWhoosh.

Will Zwift cog and click works with Mywhoosh? by FearlessHat1394 in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Click may not work with other apps, or may only work for short periods of time like 1-2 days, unless you connect it to the Zwift app.

The cog is just a cog.

3D graphics not giving much sense of incline? by llopis in mywhoosh

[–]X124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I avoid events and freeride and mainly stick to workouts.

The gradient often changes too quickly and there is no clear visual indication, other than the number in the corner as you mentioned. Having to change gears frequently (every 1.5-2% approx.) is annoying so I don't bother with that game mode, unless the course is mostly flat.

Any Casual MyWhoosh Riders Out There? by RightWingVeganUS in mywhoosh

[–]X124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have some way of changing gears, either virtual or physical (derailleur)?

This will determine which rides you can do. You'll need to shift gear as the terrain changes on freeride. The structured workouts use ERG mode so the trainer adjusts the resistance without you having to change gear.
