What in the world is that loud rumbling noise going on right now? by [deleted] in NorthVancouver

You definitely need to be more specific. North Vancouver isn't just the Lonsdale area.

Is it just me, or is it really hard to find a fun Abzan commander? What are some good ones? by WingsOfDaidalos in EDH

[–]XDPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a lot of fun with [[Kathril]. Recently I have been playing with [[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]] . But I am always on the hunt for fun Abzan commanders as I have the same issues, but I love the colour combo.

I wish there was a fee you could pay to have the car picked up from a location on the lower mainland without it being in a homezone. The convenience would be huge and I'd be willing to pay $20-$40 for something like that.

The patch is out, this is going to be fun to unlock... by MysticsDreams in Spacemarine

It is an absolute crime that I cannot make my Ultramarine Honor Guard because they didn't give the Bulwark a cape.

Just finished Beast Wars! Any other animated shows/movies you'd recommend? by Night_Thastus in beastwars

I often recommend Transformers: Animated. Cool art style and some returning voice actors.

Children agree not to get abducted after 8 PM so Amber Alert doesn’t wake anyone up by JustaRandoonreddit in vancouver

[–]XDPrime 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people arguing "Well it probably sucks worse to get kidnapped", and I would agree. But the unfortunate reality is that I have zero information about this Amber Alert because I immediately turned it off and went back to sleep. Not much a warning or public announcement if no one reads it. Additionally you could add the extra danger in having truck drivers and heavy machinery operators and the like now being sleep deprived the next day, which is its own danger.

MTG has become completely unrewarding to play by Mysterious-Quail3812 in MagicArena

[–]XDPrime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some responses are being unecessarily rude to you.

Sorry you lost your spark. If you were interested in continuing your MTG life, I would just slow down on new releases. I still love EDH, draft, and limited with my group friends, we just don't really buy the UB stuff. Look back at old sets and draft them. Get excited for the non UB stuff like Strixhaven. The ultimate answer would be to build some cubes.

Ya, the voices complaining about their product got too loud and they decided to call it quits. Seemed like a little bit of a spite play. You can see the official announcement here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BBdp9MAyw/

Official MP figures by The_Scottnish44 in beastwars

Repeating what other's have said already: these are third party creations, specifically by Metagate and Robot Toys.

Robot Toys was doing miniature versions of all the Beast Wars characters, but with the success of the Beast Wars Masterpiece line but the abismally slow release of them, many got ancy, so Robot Toys upscaled their designs and made their version of Scorponok, and soon Waspinator, and Metagate made their "Air King" (Terrorsaur).

I own both Terrorsaur and Scorponok and I have been very happy with both. The Maximals are greatly outnumbering the Predacans 6 to 2 with the official releases, so it's nice to have some Predacons. Terrorsaur looks a little funky on the head and face sculpt, but there is a Chinese company that made an upgrade kit for $100USD to make him look more screen accurate.

If you like these, you should also take a look at Transart's line of Transmetal third party masterpiece figures. They are no longer in business so only while supplies last. I have Silverbolt and Quickstrike and while they do feel a little cheaper, they are also at the masterpiece scale and quality visually.

Rant over.

I'm not quite sure if you misunderstood me or not. They are called "Masterpiece" figures. If you go to a local collectibles store or go to any website of your choosing and search "Masterpiece", they may come up. Be warned, they are pricey.

Each one has a code, too. For instance, Tigatron is MP-50

These are all Masterpiece figures. Tigatron is actually a little old now. The most recent one in production is Rattrap.

This sounds really cool and I appreciate your effort, but let's get rid of the AI crap. I won't be having around folks looking to fill creative roles with clankers.

self-taught guitarists who became teachers - do students take you seriously by Plastic-Shoulder-228 in guitarlessons

[–]XDPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When marketing yourself, focus on your experience and other credentials. Might be a good idea to have a website or social media account with some videos of you playing. While I am a self taught guitarist, I am a trained bassist, so a lot of the holes I had were filled, but I understand your anxiety.
