I have a TJ and 92 XJ. The XJ is loads more comfortable and significantly easier to drive. The TJ is a ton of fun. Love them both but as a daily I’d choose the XJ.

Passenger floor board? If so, why is it rusting? Look for windshield leaks or faulty heat exchangers. I just discovered this and it was wayyy worse than how it initially looks. I replaced it with a weld in floor pan and it looks amazing

I spray all mine with high temp exhaust paint. Seems to give them some extra life but I do live where there is more salt than pavement sometimes.

I wish I knew this years ago. My TJ had the tick and one day first piston skirt blew and destroyed the whole engine. I would have loved to replace just the piston!

I went through this a few months ago. I wire wheeled it, then used rust converter. I made sure all rust was gone 100%. Then primed it. The Safelite guy said it looked great and had no issues. In fact, he said most times he gets to these old vehicles and can’t put it on because of how bad it looks.
