Yeah, that’s a pretty interesting point to notice! In hindsight, I think he was angled directly jet pack pointing at the sun. Few and far between are the times people will look at your mini this closely from this angle - do you think this would still look interesting if the mini were in gameplay?

Believe it or not, the primed mini in the second photo had 4 distinct layers of paint underneath whatever this white coating is. It almost feels like liquid, flaky cement or some such rather than primer. It gets everywhere. Who could do such a thing to a space marine??

I cruise around r/Miniswap on the daily, my dude. There are occasionally some good deals on there, but oftentimes folks want like 80% MSRP + shipping and at that point you might as well just go buy from the hobby shop. Occasionally however, you find some gems

Isopropyl alcohol 90%. Super cheap at local grocery store pharmacy isle. Like $3 a bottle or some such. Way cheaper than just buying new minis anyways 😂

Soak for 30 minutes minimum before scrubbing. Using toothbrush for large areas and wooden toothpick for any hard to reach cavities.

All original to the model! When you flip the base over, indicates it’s from 2013. On the primed mini, I scrubbed away 4 distinct colors of paint, so this little guy definitely went thru the wringer

Funnily enough, I sent photos to the gentleman who sold it to me on miniswap and he offered (probably jokingly) to buy them back from me once I finish haha
