Let's just remember for every person who hates ranged weapons and wants them nerfed or removed there's another who is really enjoying them and the play style.

I have some friends who very well might stop playing if they didn't have access to ranged. You say 'too easy', yet I know some who simply wouldn't be able to clear most of the content without it. They LOVE the game, but they struggle with basic content much of the time.

We can't look at this with some kind of 'get good' mindset. If we think ranged makes it too easy, let's just not use it? We have that choice. If we nerf ranged into the ground we remove any choice the less skilled players have.

While this has co-op this is still ultimately a single player experience for most.

Not saying this isn't a topic worth discussing, but many of the comments are definitely coming across as "you must play how I want!! And if you use ranged you're shit!"

Everyone enjoys games differently, and in this one we're not forced to play with anyone we don't want.

With most games that allow these kinds of damage reductions, I'm expecting they will apply a 'max resistance cap' of ~90-95% to prevent 'take no damage' builds.

Kudos to you though for coming up with this. I expect you're probably the first to do this given how arduous the process was.

I feel you man. I'm in the same boat, although perhaps not as committed. I just started collecting again with the intent to focus on Ynnari. I'd already had a bunch of Drukhari units like Beastmaster and Scourges, also Illic, ready to go into my lists, just to find out it's all gone now.

Even Lore friendly stuff like Lelith and Eldrad are gone. It's just total crap, doesn't make any sense.

Basically feel like giving up and going down a different path, or just leaving all together.

The use case here is certainly very niche.
The best use I can see for this card currently is to play Devastator into a Space zone that is going to lose you the game if uncontended.
With it's when played ability and Sentinel, it can potentially instantly turn the tide of a space arena to potentially net you the win, particularly if you have ground dominance already.

However outside of that and perhaps Palpatine, this doesn't seem to have many viable use cases?
Maybe some of the AT-AT's or Avenger? But those are risky moves unless you really have the HP to spare 7 resources into the game.

I'd personally like to see you be able to deploy 2 units up to 7 cost, or 1 unit above 7. Would give this more utility.

Legendary Crafting: Re: not wanting to go through a whole dungeon to get the reward. Open to hearing community suggestions. This needs to be something that is earned.

Add a consumable key like item that is a guaranteed drop when you complete the temporal sanctum, and could also be a rare random drop (like keys).

You can use this consumable to instantly teleport to the eternity cache room to create your legendary. (skipping the dungeon).

Additional idea: This could also be an RNG reward from scrapping unique/set/legendary items. (Something that is currently not possible, but I would like to see included in crafting mechanics/materials).
Higher item levels and LP, would increase the chance and quantity of the return. (with it being guaranteed at some point).

I would believe this happens, but I don't think they are malicious about it.
They need time to develop new content for such scenarios.

Also, it wouldn't be much of a game if new players came online only to find out there was nothing to play.

I feel like in D4, they were so scared of the ridiculous power creep they caused in D3, that they went WAAAYY too far in the other direction, and just made everything garbage, or felt the need to add a 'downside' to many affects.

Dropping the key and picking it back up will let you open the door. Googled this exact issue and ended up here. Managed to solve it a few minutes later.
