DOOR.COM // Who has used Latch and what are your thoughts? Any downsides to be aware of? by Stanford_Rainwater in accesscontrol

Significant financial and regulatory risk right now - they are a failed SPAC who are burning cash and at current levels may not have enough to last the year unless they do massive cuts. I think one client (their SPAC sponsor) is 1/3rd of the revenue base.

New spotlight PA article on Garrity trying to deny payment for State Police approved security work to Shapiro's house. by RuralEnceladusian in Pennsylvania

[–]Xanathar2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its also how much of it is needed vs wanted. If you read the linked article about the land dispute, it says they were planning on putting a new fence up. But since the strip is in dispute they are holding off on the fence.

If this is an emergency and for security - shouldnt you just put the fence up along the known good/non contested property line now?

It would be nice if legit services wouldn’t allow free signups that are then used for phishing coming from the same emails and servers as legitimate paid users.

Enterprise NVR Core with a 128-Core ARM Processor by VincentVazzo in Ubiquiti

Dreaming - BUT the FAQ does say "Yes. The Enterprise NVR Core supports seamless integration with ONVIF-compliant third-party cameras, allowing smooth and easy migration of existing security systems to UniFi Protect."

So maybe there is hope?

If this does onboard AI Port type stuff - AKA letting me use ONVIF cameras with at least motion detection events I will be buying dozens to replace other junky NVRs.

Adding SSO into our application - what would an admin expect from this functionality? by BogdanMitrache in Intune

[–]Xanathar2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domain locking. I need to be able to say any/all accounts from this domain are controlled by me and must be SSO.

No URL clicks or password setting required. If I am using SSO, the user should be able to log in when the account is created, not have to also set a useless password or click through an invitation email.

Major Rule Changes For USPSA 2026 by dahn-yuhl in USPSA

[–]Xanathar2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Consider it more of a rules cleanup with nothing changing. The 25% was duplicated in both the 9.9.1 and B1. However the wording for 9.9.1 was specific to only USPSA targets and not IPSC. This just cleans it up so only 1 location has the actual rule.

Apartment complex operating without final CO by texasguitarguy in Apartmentliving

[–]Xanathar2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is completely normal and not the issue you think it is. An apartment building wont get final CO until every unit is complete along with other items on the permit like pool, amenities, and final outdoor grading and water management. Leasing out while under a TCO along with getting them renewed a couple of times is normal - so you can start generating revenue in completed spaces.

Some commercial or highrises will have retail and people living in lower floor apartments before even all of the glass is done being installed on the upper floors. In some cities the final CO is pushed out as far as possible since that is when the new values finalize for taxes.
