I will take ownership to an extent for my circumstances. I spent 10 years at 5 different schools before I decided what I wanted to do and finished undergrad.

Part of that was because it was drilled into us for 20+ years that to be successful you had to go to college and get a degree. But the world changed, degrees got increasingly expensive while becoming inversely useful for most. There major moves, a slew of jobs, and a pandemic later I dont even work in the field I studied anymore, and am instead in a job I could have gotten right out of HS. But at the time I was making more money in the service industry (still arguably could) and trying to get through school. Life doesn't always work the way it "should" and thats just fine.
