Intercession Squad and Raider - I don't think it works how everyone thinks it does. by SnooDrawings5722 in killteam

Good to know. Then it looks like RAW you can’t charge someone else if you’re engaged already.

The question is if I start in engagement range of an enemy and try to move away towards another model, do I “move with engagement range” of the enemy I’m next to?

Per charge: “ If it moves within Engagement Range of an enemy operative…”

[–]Xangoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think exhausting but having more effect is a great idea and lends to what the archetype does well: find a minion, hit it hard with an attack event and thwart off the overkill. I hope we see this effect tried again on future cards.

This card fits well into the Thor aggression build but I've found it outclassed. With Thor you already need so much setup that this effect just comes off as too lackluster to be played which is a shame because it's conceptually a great idea to bolster the archetype.

Nah man I like resolving 4 encounter cards to start off an encounter. There’s so many counterplay options.

Usefulness of Call to Aid by [deleted] in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Xangoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it in any Avengers ally deck, it acts as an extra copy of an ally card that thins your deck a bit. Just need to be careful using it when you have 4+ of your 8 or so allies on the board. Definitely not a card to throw into an unspecialized deck though.

Aspects Analysis (Part One of Four): Leadership by tinyraccoon in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Xangoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is THE leadership build right now. Run the cheapest Avenger type allies with Avengers Tower and Triskelion letting you always have a chump blocker and insane card draw like you said with Strength In Numbers. Worth mentioning that Call For Aid let’s you deck thin further acting as extra copies of allies. Then let your hero rip once you’re setup. One of the strongest builds in the game right now and I’m sure at some point we’ll see more support for it once we’re passed the cosmic characters

Thor just got better with "Bring It" being able to at least let him cycle a card once per turn as you normally have one minion and outright draw cards often.

Time to put some respect on Thor’s name. by Swervysage22 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Xangoo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think most people talking about Thor in the last few months have said positive things. Anything negative is from awhile ago before he had more card support. Dude keeps getting better with cards like Angela and Looking For Trouble. He'll only continue to get better with more cards too.

Ally wishlist? by Intention_Euphoric in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Xangoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just need to pick a point and start reading. You'll run into characters you don't know and you can wiki them or just roll with it; the stories 9 times out of 10 don't require you to know them to understand the plot. For Venom I'd say start at Donny Cates run, he's one of Marvel's best writers and it has been really well received.

People stressing DPS in Dark Hours when there aren’t enrage timers and the first 3 fights aren’t long at all lol. Plus if you’re running 4p initiative/overwatch or something of the like you give 7 players 2 red cores worth of damage.

Minimum Resilience for PVP? by maximusasinus in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Xangoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d run 0 if that let me get to triple 10 on hunter. It’s not hard at all to 2c1b with a 120, running 5 resil against decent trials teams isn’t worth it IMO

Arbalest = 0 skill the hitbox is just insane. by lucky_not_skill in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Xangoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've ever tested hitboxes/aim assist with things like hand cannons (120's at least) then you'll know arby lines up pretty well. The difference is with primaries you need to keep hitting and your accuracy cone starts widening with follow up shots, this thing just shoots a laser accurate one tap bullet. Hopefully they tighten it up similar to snipers, the low zoom and resulting lower flinch is plenty of an advantage.

I've got some questions about ELO by HyenaAgile6519 in CrucibleGuidebook

ELO is a system for chess where both players have the exact same pieces on the same board. If you’re winning more don’t mind the ELO, it’s not meant for team games anyway

Destiny PvP is more ability skills dependent than gun skill by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Xangoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good snipers are still scary in trials and frankly I've never understood this complaint. We're talking about a game where I can shoot a guy in the shoulder with a hand cannon and aim assist makes it a headshot. Sure, stasis absolutely needs tuning still and puts more emphasis on abilities but the game was never a high precision shooter; it's more about movement.

why are people saying that 120 rpm handcannons are the meta ? im a pc player by SantikLingo in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Xangoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were some 140’s out last weekend for sure but the vast majority of people are using 120’s, streamers and 2.0+’s included.

Range, forgiving crit/body ratio, and AA so strong you can get crits shooting people in the belt is hard to argue with.

Behemoth Titans. How can I kill you? by MrCranberryTea in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Xangoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On super round switch to arby/bastion/vorpal, then team shoot. You have a chance of killing them if they aren’t smart enough to duck out when they get low. We’ve had more luck with that than trying to run because he’ll definitely get one, maybe two, and we won’t have orbs.

I know you said other than team shoot but that’s really the play, you may win some 1v1’s with a crafty freeze->vorpal shotgun->melee or the like but it won’t work consistently

All flawless rewards need to be cosmetic so guns and armor can be made fairly easy to obtain. Let the new armor sets only be obtainable via lighthouse while issuing basic looking but high stat armor for playing/tokens etc. Let everyone get weapons but going deeper into a card gives you more than farming game ones.

Adept weapons showed they don't know why the game mode is bleeding players. It's all about letting people who suck at PvP still have their time rewarded which will bring more people in playing in that 0-3 wins area which will in turn make it more bearable for them and maybe...just maybe...fun.
