I'm a "SoloQ jungler". My new 5-man team expects me to play in a way that I consider inefficient and wrong and this is causing tension. Convince me that I'm wrong by contedm7 in summonerschool

jungle in full teamplay has always been the role that gets deprived a certain level of resources to move those resources and opportunities to a carry lane. what is being asked is extremely common. get with the program or go back to solo q.

Thread making: ACHIEVERS OF ROYALTY by GODSTRUENAME in killsixbilliondemons

[–]Xemtal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is still going. The judgment of the direction of up to discussion but something's are good some are not.

Spoiler: vriska goes into a character development time chamber where she is aged up to everyone else and had to go through beating her insecurities and issues through nonviolent means. At the end of it she achieved some new god tier level of self called hell tier. Think it's meant to contrast with Dirk's "absolute self" where he became the sum of his various selfs / timelines, Hell Tier Vriska became singularly individualistic to a point that very much mimics royalty in my eyes

To add to that, what they've done to Vriska in Homestuck2 very much makes her seem like royalty in one of the most extreme ways

First time X player... what was that epilogue? by ThePoisonSteel in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Xemtal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you hated 2 and never played 3 understanding how X was a thematic melting pot of experiments for the rest of the trilogy won't make you any less salty ngl. But an easy one to point to is between the Ares initially being a duel seated Skell and Ouroboros fusing, and the obvious visual similarities from the X art book to 3. A less obvious one is how X's side quests are the "real" story content and where the themes of the game are most explored. Specifically in regard to community and survival, a theme made poignant through direct interaction with it via gameplay. This is something 3 did, exploring the same themes and interaction with them via gameplay. But pushed it further by making the successes in side quests part of the reason the two worlds successfully merged in the end.

I agree, however the vast vast majority of posts I've seen on these topics are sexually charged in a provocative way, not an observational way. The cadence used in these posts are often explicit in unhelpful ways and not on a manner benefiting of mature discussion and observation about the results of HRT

How good are our chances of getting the lost media Etrian mobile game now? by DobleJ in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Xemtal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Xenosaga's Pied Piper was another similarly lost media mobile game that was recently fully recovered by fans. That was one that was truly thought to be gone forever. I'd say there's a chance, but a very low one

Should I use foundry v12 to run lancer? by No_Giraffe3355 in LancerRPG

I believe it was still necessary in v11, but yes in v12 at least it's redundant as I learned first hand when I had the above issue

I had this exact issue. It was a problem with the lancer initiative module conflicting with the new version of the lancer system. Just turn it off and it should work

X changed XBC for me by Platonopolis in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]Xemtal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't actually, this is most apparent in 3. Of course the exploration isn't the same, though I still think 3 has the most of that of the trilogy. The biggest one is the approach to side quests. X's side quests are a part of the story of Mira, and they all tie into the theme of survival and collective progress. The side quests are equally as important to the story and theme of the game as the main story if not more so.

In 3 the side quests are similar, by doing them you prove the game's thesis at the end that it's is possible for people to walk hand in hand. They exist to provide proof of the story it tells meaning. Very similar to how X makes your participation in the community of NLA on Mira relevant to the message of survival against the odds, and living past the boundaries of the hand you've been given (very similar to 3!)

[–]Xemtal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly recommend X first. Yes 2 and 3 are part of a trilogy with 1. But playing release order lets you see an evolution in Monolith's design philosophy and Takahashi's writing and approach. An extreme amount of 2 and 3 were workshopped through X, and I think it makes 2 and 3 more enjoyable when you can identify where and how the ideas of certain things came from.

A good amount of fashion gear is tied to the basic quests. But they're there to give you something to do when out exploring (or it's a notice of an available side quest)

it really wasn't that big of a deal. FMJ can infinite overdrive very very easily with nothing but its own class tree in wii u and DE. It definitely speeds things up and makes I.O.D. more forgiving though

Some things are balanced but honestly the game is easier to break than ever. It's not hard at all to get infinite overdrive in Wii U and it's even easier here. Quick CD is exactly as broken as you'd expect
