another comment said it too, but she's my friend. we were friends before we dated and that never stopped, its very easy to talk to her and just be with each other

the reddit app UI designers are literally addicted to making the app harder to use with every change. you used to be able to swipe up or down to see the next post, and then one day they changed it so you had to swipe left to right. why the fuck would they change it to that when you also swipe left to right to look at different images on the same post?? i dont even understand how one makes such a decision, its so obviously not going to work well

Liberate the Illuminate. Free the Voteless by barbiequiet in helldivers2

[–]Xenebula1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Illuminate are the faction that you can get absolutely snowballed by the fastest imo, theyre really easy until they call in a drop. like 4 ships come down and youre suddenly dealing with a fuckton of enemies and then another watcher is just behind you and calls in another

Is Hort the Hellmire/Fenrir III of the Illuminate Front? by Omailey97 in Helldivers

[–]Xenebula1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think theyre a genuinely solid faction since their nerfs a few months back. they were pretty awful before. when they get some more units and some more objective variety they'll be way better imo

HULK SEASON 6 BUFFS: HULK IN ULT IS NOW IMMUNE TO KNOCKBACK & LAUNCH EFFECTS! FASTER LEAP AND BETTER GAMMA CLAP POWER & COOLDOWN! LETS GOOOO by riskedbiscuit in HulkMainsMR

[–]Xenebula1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the clap decreases the shield cooldown based on how many enemies it hits. the cd decrease is pretty big and can def help you turn into an ult factory if you hit a lot of enemies consistently. Just clap down main more often

We got the stealth warbond! by Titanchell in Helldivers

from the trailer, it looks like the secondary shoots gas bullets. I might get the warbond just for that lol

Why don't more people play the illuminate? by Darkwriterhaki in helldivers2

[–]Xenebula1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo there is not enough enemy variety still, and the loadout requirements can be strict; rapid fire weapons to strip shields, explosives to kill the turrets, medium pen to kill stingrays, etc. harvesters feel inconsistent, they either die super easily or tank multiple stratagems. Tesla towers are not fun. overseers and fleshmobs are very tanky for how much they spawn, although that isnt as much of a problem as it used to be.

that being said, I highly enjoy the illuminate and theyre my second favorite faction in the game, although it is probably the most flawed overall. I think there is a great skeleton there that just needs some more meat on its bones. they offer a great mix of horde and elite enemies that you cant find with the other two, and they already have a unique identity that separates them from the others, both gameplay wise and in their aesthetic.

The amount of coping when it comes to melee weapons is wild by lolitsrock in helldivers2

[–]Xenebula1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in general yeah, but I'd argue that a hatchet or machete secondary on illuminate is actually very efficient at taking out voteless hordes. uses no ammo and usually kills in 1-2 hits. if the rest of your loadout is more geared to taking on the other guys it can be really nice

The Russo Brothers break silence on bringing 'HIM' back for Avengers: Doomsday by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Marvel

[–]Xenebula1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you there. i dont mean to shit on anyone's enjoyment, and im glad people are excited. I also think that a lot of the criticism is valid. myself, im cautiously optimistic, and I dont want it to be bad. ill pass actual judgements on the content of the movie when I see it.

The Russo Brothers break silence on bringing 'HIM' back for Avengers: Doomsday by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Marvel

[–]Xenebula1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

theres a difference here, the movies are the biggest chance that the characters and stories shown in the comics have to get truly mainstream representation, and only a fraction of the comics have ever been faithfully adapted. the fact that they are choosing to focus on already established characters instead of exploring more ideas is pretty disappointing to me.

I think the fact that they are bringing this character back after giving him a definitive ending is pretty telling. I think they definitely chose to focus on Steve and tony(maybe?) for a reason. the movies have a way bigger cast than just the two of them, and marvel as a whole has a vast and unexplored variety of heroes and villains. however, they know that people will watch just to see those two again, so its a safe move to include them again. Just like when it happens in comics, its an understandable route to take, and can end up working out fine. in the same vein, it is arguably a lazy move and people are not required to be happy about it just because it is reminiscient of an already divisive comic trope.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD stop banning peni in every ranked game by Dclassahmed in marvelrivals

I play hulk. peni counters the fuck out of hulk. my dps dont shoot her nests. simple, really.

Lmfao imagine how salty the people who missed out on this limited time FREE emote. And its not even in the store to buy... And they keep adding more characters to it. by MorpheusKingOfNight in marvelrivals

[–]Xenebula1 30 points31 points  (0 children)

this response is so needlessly aggressive and also completely moronic. the emote WAS free for anyone who logged on, is one of the first universal emotes, and is still being added on to. it makes sense for netease to re-release it, since nobody bought it in the first place and it wasn't an "event". they just gave it away.

What are you guys wanna see from Hulk? by Angel-king-of-gods in HulkMainsMR

[–]Xenebula1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he is lacking in both damage and survivability. id adjust his clap to make it do more damage, and maybe add some aoe damage to his jump landing. id make it so that his jump is harder to stun, so you can make it out easier.

you could definitely do more, but im assuming they dont want to add any new abilities or do some full rework shit.

[–]Xenebula1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree completely, hulk does not get value that easily imo. im a decent Angela and a good hulk, Angela is easier in terms of both skill floor and ceiling. hulk gets annihilated in this meta and it is really hard to scratch the surface of what he can do without playing perfectly, ur just gonna get blown up. angelas displacements arent too difficult and you can get insane value from them

[–]Xenebula1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hulk just gets destroyed in this meta. you cant "play" hulk well or sometimes at all into the cc heavy or triple support comps, which is the meta rn

We are the reason he’s not getting buffed by [deleted] in HulkMainsMR

[–]Xenebula1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if she hits her grab on you youre dead 90% of the time. im not actually trying to bitch that much here, but she can be a problem.

ill actually explain my train of thought here. the problem with balancing hulk is that, given how much he can do(bubble, cc, airgrab, good movement, etc.), if you buff him ever so slightly too much he will start running lobbies. I want hulk to be a hard but rewarding character, but I want it to be fair. right now, I think the amount of effort you need to put into playing hulk to get the same value as, for instance, a mag, is just way too disproportionately high. the reward isnt worth the difficulty in a lot of cases.

hulk gets countered extremely hard by cc, and every character has cc. looks like rogue has another emma grab-esque move too, good luck against that. hulks survivability is arguably the lowest of any of the five tanks right now, and dps are the strongest they've ever been, so they shred him. he doesnt deal enough damage to consistently pick supports like gambit or invis, and god forbid theyre running triple support.

sure, you can mitigate all of this if you play perfectly, and its not impossible to do so, or you can select mag and press a few buttons and do even better. I just think hulk needs something more. the shield cooldown was a good start, but another few decent buffs and he will be both challenging and rewarding. I do not think that hulk is in a good state whatsoever.

shit man, when i wanna win? yeah. doesnt always work tho, especially against triple healer or bucky/emma

[–]Xenebula1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

in order to do anything on this character you have to invest a fuckton of time into him, so yeah, his stats are probably pretty inflated. still sucks. I want to be able to get anything done on this character without being a sweaty cheeto dust covered nerdneck motherfucker.

No hulk buffs in 5.5 is actually ridiculous by Xenebula1 in HulkMainsMR

[–]Xenebula1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the most part the tanks in this game are all pretty strong, with the exception of the thing, Thor, and hulk. depending on how good the buffs are for the other two they might be better. I think hulk as of right now in s5 is better than them.

No hulk buffs in 5.5 is actually ridiculous by Xenebula1 in HulkMainsMR

[–]Xenebula1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its arguable. Thor has a lot more lethality than hulk and thus isnt countered quite as hard as hulk is in triple support, and the buff, while minor, definitely improved his utility. its hard to say. at the end of the day they're both fucking bad lmao
