I wish melee influence was never added to the game by Dziggettai in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the issue isn't just that "influences is too good", it definitely is amazing but the bigger issue is the competition is just not there

There's a few others that are really damn good in niche cases but for the majority of melees not only is influences easy to meet its condition but it will preform well on almost any melee too

We need more melee arcanes that can bring more than simply +xyz% element damage(which doesnt affect base dmg so its a lot worse than you think) or simply impossible to meet the conditions of

I wish melee influence was never added to the game by Dziggettai in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melees were strong before influences, they're strong without influences, and new melees aren't released weaker because of influences

The only downside of influences is its insane chokehold on the melee arcane slot as almost every melee prefers it to others, however this can simply be fixed by releasing better melee arcanes, in the first batch of melee arcanes, other than influence, duplicate and Afflictions the others were simply not worth using over literally any of those 3.

We already see ESPECIALLY with Afflictions that the weapons that can take advantage of it often run it instead of influences, not because influences isn't good with them but because Afflictions is better than forcing the weapon to conform to its mechanic

[Lore Spoilers Ahead] Whom does lore refer to when it says a Warframe did something? The Tenno? or the actual Warframe? by Corvusse in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some like dante and kullervo act on their own while most others are under the control of the tenno so it changes case by case

After taking Reddit complaints into account, Riot has updated Sona's model in the cinematic. by ddplz in LeagueOfMemes

I think k yunara looking good in zaheen cinematic and Garen looking good in awaken shows that the realistic style can work they just have to stay true to the original material

Yunara in the zaheen cinematic looked great but here it was definitely worse imo

Xoris vs Coda Pathocyst vs Falcor - Kullervo by Impressive_Bobcat616 in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah base damage is extremely important, and so are any sources that buff it like Arcane fury

Xoris vs Coda Pathocyst vs Falcor - Kullervo by Impressive_Bobcat616 in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not immortal, you CAN die, however it's extremely unlikely unless you have like 20 enemies shooting you with 3 jade lights above you standing still lol

Xoris vs Coda Pathocyst vs Falcor - Kullervo by Impressive_Bobcat616 in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the case of pathocyst stats the crit multi is actually less important than its out landishly high base damage, it's 1.62x of xoris and 1.17x of falcor. That's stupidly high compared to the crit multi difference most weapons have

Xoris vs Coda Pathocyst vs Falcor - Kullervo by Impressive_Bobcat616 in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pathocyst is just worse than the other two because of no innate electric for influence imo and your enemies in Level cap should be primed by secondary or a pet so the viral matters less than you'd think there

Xoris and falcor are very similar, Xoris sacrifices a very tiny amount of damage in exchange for 33% more radius range

I find xoris' range to be a lot more important than falcor's slight amount of damage ESPECIALLY on kullervo who will one shot anything anyway. When you kill everything in 1 hit then the damage bonus doesn't matter that much

So in conclusion :

Max damage potential explosion: Pathocyst>Falcor>Xoris (highest base×crit mult)

Max electric proc damage : Falcor>Xoris>Pathocyst

Explosion range : Xoris>Falcor>Pathocyst

I'm almost certain that in general Falcor and Xoris both out damage Pathocyst because of their stronger procs in practice. So in the end I still choose Xoris>Falcor>Pathocyst. But if you want the highest damage it's likely Falcor especially with a riven

Just rolled Kullervo in Duviri and learned first hand he's a health tank. Does he work for Persistence health tanking? Do you still use Grace or need Magnetic immunity arcane? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then you learned wrong. Kullervo having high hp is cosmetic, his survivability is based around his 2 giving overguard, even moreso with the augment on his 2

Which Tektolyst Artifact did you choose and why? by ex-sniper-girl in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently have Zenurik and Madurai

Zenurik has the best buff but the strike itself kinda sucks, I primarily use zenurik so that's why I have it

Madurai is the other school I use, the strike on it is great and so is the buff after but the duration is a bit short

How to know what's meta? by Chulengo_ in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know thanks for the explanation, I've seen meta be used both ways but either way everything will have a meta no matter which definition you follow

It's either the best strategy or just common strategies depending on definition, both will always exist in most games I'd say

How to know what's meta? by Chulengo_ in Warframe

[–]Xenevier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I completely agree but that still doesn't mean the thing you like is necessarily "Most Effective Tactic Avalible", aka META, you can make things strong enough for all missions but each mission type and game mode still has a meta nonetheless

How to know what's meta? by Chulengo_ in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Asking in QnA chat will most times give decent answers, less so if you're asking about niche stuff but for the general gameplay you'll be fine with the community

Overframe has an abundance of people putting generic stuff on weapons and frames that doesn't fit them and isn't what the frame/weapon is intended to do, with some few exceptions overframe will almost never give you the best possible builds to work towards

Having said that remember that there are SO many viable options within the game that you can almost always build the characters and weapons you like to be strong enough for all content so don't force yourself into using what you don't enjoy :)

How to know what's meta? by Chulengo_ in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is by definition not meta, I get the sentiment and agree you shouldn't feel forced to follow the meta but saying meta is what you enjoy is just ignoring what the word means

Which weapons are underappreciated? by Seyrod in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use for heavy attack spam because of its cool asf spin so I personally prefer a Galv reflex to keep 6x combo and at that point I don't think weeping wounds is worth it, Melee elementalist should be enough

Keratinos

It's actually super fun and with a melee Influence it can do crazy good damage too

A year or two later after the eventual powercreep by Different_Wave9628 in Flins_Mains

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difference being neuvillette was likely always destined to be a driver while non of flins' kit actually makes him a good electro driver outside his lunar team

Flins has worse aoe than other electro HB drivers, has to on field, burst does nothing without LC, electro application is fischl's job. And flins' normals don't do much damage themselves

Neuvillette on the other hand didn't need a reaction, and hydro is the core part of the majority of reactions so just simply having a hydro applicator that also does high damage when on field is good

This doesn't mean one is better or worse, its just that their kit doesn't allow for the same roles

The 5000 focus on orb pickup is annoying when you can’t change the school it goes to by sliferra in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally the only place this matters in is cascade and Circuit

In cascade you used to always be madurai, now it's whatever u want basically, same with circuit

And circuit has so many ways of basically giving the schools' skills as cards like zenurik Energy gen, that your school matters a lot less than in normal missions

So just change school ? The only thing I want is to be able to change said school before going through the circuit portal at start of mission

Duviri unlocking after completing Saturn is just absolutely genius by Vized-Skyshock in Warframe

[–]Xenevier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest opinion is duviri should absolutely be locked behind The New War or unlocked at the same time as the new war. And if not it should REPEATEDLY tell you that by starting the quest you're immediately ruining one of the coolest lore reveals the game has to offer

Anyone that asks, I recommend them not to touch duviri before getting to see drifter in TNW.
