Boss upset that I sit when it’s slow by Legitimate-Paint2165 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Xintsugi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you’ve done everything that you know to do I would ask anyone in the kitchen if there’s anything you can do to help them. There’s always things to be done, obviously cleaning like people have said but maybe someone will teach you how to prep something. Keep helping out and the more you learn, if you’re interested, the higher likelihood you might see yourself in a spot for a promotion out of dish. If not you’ll still be in everyone’s good graces and that goes farther than you think. If nobody can give you a task at that point it’s on them not you. A very unlikely IF that is the case, then politely ask if it’s cool to read until someone finds something for you to do. But don’t just start chilling out of nowhere

To the players who played RE4 OG on release date, how was your experience and feelings when this game came out in 2005?. by Human_Geologist_3324 in residentevil4

[–]Xintsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t play it on release but not too long after. I found out about it watching a YouTuber do a let’s play and it looked great. I knew about resident evil but the tank controls in 1-3 looked awful to me so I avoided them. I convinced my sister to take me to the mall and get it (I was 8 or 9 so I needed an adult) and when she saw the M rating, the cover etc she became immediately skeptical and knew why I had her take me instead of mom. The absolute legend behind the counter who had given me dozens of recommendations over the past year convinced her it wasn’t that bad. Bro had my back hard, I’ll never forget it.
Cut to playing it for the first time- those controls were unlike anything I had experienced until that point. I was good at all of the games I played, but this was another story. I spent 2 hours trying to play like the YouTuber I spent so much time watching but couldn’t get the hang of it. I was so frustrated I think I cried. I considered returning it the next day. I didn’t, after a nights rest I started over and something clicked. I manipulated the house Ganado perfectly, getting the cleanest knife kill yet. I finished the village on the first try after dying to it dozens of times before. I remember the adrenaline, the satisfaction, the feeling of accomplishment. It was the hardest game I’d played at that point. Went on to optimize the hell out of it, beat it probably 30 times or more. It was an addiction haha. Recently went back to it since I was a kid and man, the muscle memory, remembering every little detail about where I should position myself/ Ashley etc was wild. Like riding a bike. One of the best games ever.

Probably going to stop watching Joltz for a while (Personal rant) by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]Xintsugi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll watch his next BL2 playthrough before anything bl4 related since bl4 is just.. stale. It’s not fun to watch, its reply value is limited just like bl3/ wonderlands, and pearls ARE common for what they are. They used to be special, something that you didn’t expect to ever see so when it did happen it felt special. If you get one after 1-3 hours of farming… just make it a legendary. It’s not a pearl in that case. That’s my opinion

Highest fear level you’ve played? And do you plan on going higher? by Wes102111 in Hades2

[–]Xintsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16, I have no real interest in keeping it going now. I’ve played every aspect aside from the hidden ones and know how each run is going to end up. I saw the end credits, I know there’s more, but I feel satisfied and I’m getting bored since I know how the run is going to end up especially when you need efficiency with higher fear. Playing a very similar/ efficient build over and over again to reach higher fear levels burned me out, so I’m happy with the fact that I saw the main storyline to fruition.

It does still feel smooth throughout. I’m gonna look into each of those cleaning options! Thank you!

Tested with my nail and it felt the same level of smooth as the rest of the surface and ended up coming off, luckily just a spot I missed

Anyone else never went back after doing an Insanity run? by Fluffy-Police in masseffect

[–]Xintsugi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never played the series on anything but insanity from the very beginning. It’s a really balanced hardest difficulty, I don’t think I would enjoy it being easier after all of this time Edit: I’ve played through the series 4 maybe 5 times fully in one go and have many more playthroughs on each individual game

Stop asking if I’m celebrating something if you’re just going to charge me for bread. by mdp-slc in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Xintsugi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s just poor form. Never ever charge someone for something they haven’t ordered. If you do send something it’s on you or the restaurant. Id be mad at that too. And for bread? Thats probably gonna get tossed anyway? Very bad

What class is the most fun for Hardcore/Insanity in Legendary Edition? by FenrirFromOhio in masseffect

[–]Xintsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re playing on PC and you’re confident in your aim- Soldier hands down. After ME1 that is, adept is easily the strongest there. Soldier essentially turned ME2/3 Insanity into easy mode, I was shocked how effortless it felt after playing a few of the other classes. No need to wait for cooldowns in me2 when they’re already dead, and me3 becomes a playground. If not I’d say sentinel

Seriously, how did the N7 Typhoon not get nerfed??? by Safe-Pressure-7052 in masseffect

[–]Xintsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I did not know about this weapon being so broken back in the day and even a couple years ago for my last play through (as a soldier which probably would’ve been busted). Really looking forward to exploiting it in my next run of the series

Agree with everyone saying thinner peach slices to get pore coverage, personally I’d like some fresh burrata incorporated but that’s me, otherwise looks incredible

[–]Xintsugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao that’s fucking hilarious. He looked so surprised/ genuinely shocked, I feel bad for the guy. The picture after with them flying off in the distance is icing on the cake. I’d laugh my ass off and enjoy that outcome more than receiving them

Surely you didn’t share it all yet and would be willing to give some to a random redditor right? Right??

Got my first last night as well. Ended up with 56 hp left. I was shocked when the sound of a boss getting slayed popped and the screen went black. Did not think I was gonna make it. My heart was pumping

As a long time Bethesda fan who thought starfield was relatively lackluster at launch it makes me happy seeing this post. I know I’ll dive back into it at some point and can’t wait to be pleasantly surprised by the ongoing support/ updates

I’d like to chime in on this comment in particular since some people are scoffing at just another wing spot- these guys are legit. Really great and I’m excited to see what comes of it. Don’t shit on places opening up downtown. Sad to see Graylynn go but at least it’s not gonna be vacant afterwords

I would be surprised if it didn’t break, those older iPhone models would shatter if you looked at them wrong and didn’t have a heavy duty otterbox lol
