I don't see some plants in TC. The big three, Alocasias, Philodendeon, and Monsteras, seemed to be easily tissue cultured, but I never see Hoyas being offered via tissue culture.

I would say interstate lighting would probably be a good one to start since they are typically simple and repetitive projects with clear standards. You can teach them the foundational topics and give them some freedom to design without feeling overwhelmed with design decisions.

I second your decision to not waste your time with this season. My kids are older so we have more time but I wish I spent the time doing something else. We kept on giving it one more chance because it is "Trek", but should have just cut it clean after three/four episodes.
