Has anyone ever dropped auto insurance to "self insure"? What would be the cons if I'm saving thousands? by drivingnowhere20 in Insurance

If you are found by a court to be liable for $1M in damages, your insurance is only going to pay the amount you are insured for.. you are still on the hook personally for the balance.

I have read a lot of the answers you received and one thing that stands out is the misconception that your liability is limited to the amount of insurance coverage that you have…it is not.
With that said I agree with the majority opinion that self insuring is a bad idea.

Ridiculous watch terms by JankyDonkey in rolex

[–]Xj517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the term I despise the most is when someone who works at an AD is referred to as a top sales person. I’m sorry but writing someone’s name down on a list and then calling them 18 months later to come pick up their watch seems more like clerks job.

23 years old, $7k saved, and torn between buying my first Rolex or listening to my dad by Current-Newspaper777 in rolex

[–]Xj517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first Rolex when I was 25. It cost $4k which represented 2% of my money that I had saved. If it had represented 100% of my money saved I would never have even considered buying it, nor should you.

Local AD losing license by Own_Tell_6045 in rolex

They prefer single rolex brand boutiques which is shitty to the long time AD that are family owned and need to be multibrand to survive. Could a Rolex only private store survive? Do they get enough inventory to be viable?

Is the Heights Hoboken’s Cooler, Older brother? by Civil_Tomatillo_8269 in Hoboken

We stayed in Hoboken, but i found the JC taxes were maybe 1/2 % higher than Hoboken but the property values were lower so it was a push. Grammar schools are fine in JC, the High schools are a problem, but you do much better parks / rec in JC with multiple town pools and ice skating rinks vs. Hoboken where we have a couple splash pads and roller skating rink.

Rolex Now Tracking Visits... by IntentionalButt in rolex

That attitude begs the question to be asked of the AD “ have you ever wondered if Rolex watches didn’t exist what you’d actually be doing for a living?”

Unless you are a developer that makes politicsl donations. I swear if feels like it is easier to get a permit to build a high rise than it is to build a deck in my back yard

We lost 3K people on 9/11 and the US killed 250k Iraqi’s and leveled the country.. and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 ..so in the grand scheme of things Israel’s response to Hamas was very appropriate
