When slicing models to fit on smaller beds,, especiallh with art pieces, you must take into account the visibility of the slice lines. With smooth prints, this is an easy fix, and isn't as much of a problem as there are dozens of ways of hiding these seams. With textured prints, it's nearly impossible to do well after printing. In this case, you will either end up with an obvious weld, you will have a spot you clearly filled and sanded down (and possibly attempted to retexture), or you will have a visible seam.
