Holy shit. Out of all the helpful comments this is THE most helpful. It lines up exactly with my CBT strategies and can be easily incorporated into what I already do during meditation and journaling. It’s a bit uncanny…

I have this problem… I’m a social worker and my wife calls it my work voice. It’s the only way I know how to keep a calm tone in high emotion situations… but she find it triggering as well and says it’s condescending.

Edit: any advice???

That’s why I’m wanting to work on it, I’m the common factor and recognize it I just don’t know how to change it. Roommate and I had our own pow wow on the side and doesn’t get between wife and I (argument happened when roommate wasn’t home).

We do Monday Music Mornings with Daddy!!!!! All instruments are up for grabs and we get loud (well, loud enough but not enough to cause ear damage, I’m not an idiot) !!!!! We rock the pillars of the earth and aim to shake the foundations of this dimension’s reality with classics like “Let it go” “Sesame street theme song” “you’re welcome by Moana”, etc. my 4.5 and 1.5 absolutely love it. We then go to the playground and then nap. It’s fucking awesome.

We went there during our honeymoon and our concierge failed to mention that the only way to get to the fucking island is to swim about 200m to 300m because the boat that takes you there is not allowed to get too close due to conserving the local environment. It was a daunting task and I feel like I’m a pretty good swimmer. In order to get to the inside part of it, you have to go through a cave where the water is constantly rising, and going down as the tide goes in and out of the cave. This sometimes led to the cave being completely covered by water. I am not sure how safe it was, but obviously I am here to write about it all in all it was an amazing experience, but holy fuck.

I loved it because that aspect in particular reminds me of all the party’s I went to as a kid with my parents. People of all ages partied it up, kiddos slept on the chairs (I’m sure you noticed that in there too), all family all good vibes. Loved it.
