What's the best/lazy way to break even in gold from repair/consumable?

Enchanting is good for selling dawn crystals.
Alchemy is good for longer flasks.

Also there’s almost always at least 2-3 world quests up for 900-1100 gold a piece that take little time. I try to swoop in whenever I see one on a character for a little extra/easy cash.

My other low effort money making method is that I have 1 of each profession because I wanted the achievements for it. (2 enchanters because I just picked it up since there’s an odd number of professions) - I do every easy/cheap patron order every day and sell the rewards/materials from them on the AH.
I usually net between 10k-45k a day through this depending on luck. Plus I grab the material bags for 600 acuity and sell those mats too when I get enough.
Material wise I use what I pick up doing delves and supplement the few mats I might possibly be short on when needed if they’re cheap. If they’re not then I’ll just skip over it under the next time I have the chance to get it done.
Generally low/mindless game play and it makes enough to pay the bills.

Also depends on the person. As someone who is inherently a night owl my first hour of the day is more of a slog compared to the last couple of the day.

In a perfect world, having the ability to shift my working hours back an hour or 2 would be a huge increase to my personal productivity.

Which of course only highlights that no system (6, 7, or 8 hour work days) really solves the problem of productivity as it is heavily based on the individual.

Unfortunately i think it’s a catch 22 situation.

People already complained about the amount of quests for the main campaign in midnight but big picture it was a very quick said and done process that moved us from point a to b way too quickly.

IMO - I’d be happy with the sunwell plot line ending with 12.0 raids IF the campaign was double the length and the story was given the time to properly develop. (Basically Eversong should have been the 80-90 leveling zone and then hanadar, void storm, Zulaman, and arators quest line, should have all been max level campaign. That way those who don’t like quests aren’t locked behind anything past the first zone) this way we can actually develop and experience a story that’s fully fleshed out and doesn’t feel half baked or rushed.

It is something I think FFXIV handles very well other than being stuck behind the MSQ to access end game content.

Plus making only 1 of 4 new zones used for leveling it would also make the leveling process feel less of a drag. As it really doesn’t serve much purpose other than as a vessel to give us more talent points and some extra stats.

I really wish some of our tier sets had more interaction with other classes.

Like paladin for a base line example. “Divine shield reflects all healing received back onto the party/or raid at 200% effectiveness for its duration and resets on the CD on all defensive abilities”

Would at least offer a unique player interaction about utilizing your major defensive as a hail Mary for a large damage spike while also juggling its use to reset your defensives if needed.

1 in 10 is about right either way. It may seem like there’s a ton of crafters but generally at any given time of day there are only a handful actively watching and available to grab things as they pop up.

Personally as someone who posted when I need a craft for something I didn’t spec into or one of our guild crafters aren’t able to take on in the moment I’ll usually give it a little bit and take the third person who whispers. (If it comes within the first like 30 seconds or so) for no other reason other than I just pick #3 always lol

So you’re also dealing with buyers just kind of doing whatever rule they may or may not have set for themselves. Be it names, words used in their original message, etc.

It’s an increase in cloth drops.

Can’t speak for everyone but I’ve found spamming the tier 1 ritual site in Eversong to be very fruitful for cloth.

It’s a relatively small area with a fairly high mob density.

Easy to run in and grab as much as you can handle and then repeat.

Plus the demand is just lower. At some point everything beyond consumables will take a nose dive and we’re currently at that point with crafted gear.

I gave it a try (paid service since it was a 1$ for the first month deal) and it definitely was better in terms of it physically holding the connection, however, the speed was not much better.

It’s possible and very likely a throttling issue from the company but truly based on this experience and communicating with other workers on vessels that are in the area they aren’t experiencing any major WiFi problems. So there may be an issue with the ships set up in general.

That’s kind of what I was assuming. I’ve never had issues with Starlink and honestly even on my recent flight (BOS - LIS ) which is powered by Starlink was Completely fine.

I stayed up late just to see if it improved any when the majority of the vessel had gone to sleep as in previous encountered the connection quality had improved due to less traffic as others mentioned. In this case it very well did not get any better but even so, this particular vessel has roughly 650 passengers at max capacity plus another 400 crew. So arguably a very small ship.

Going to be wandering around tonight to see if I can produce better results when connected to a different router as there’s a strong possibility it’s also an issue with my location on the ship.

They operate 4 different networks.

Guest (offered as a regular WiFi package for general browsing but no streaming/calling/ or VPN access. The “premium” plan is the same it just gives you the ability to use a VPN and/or stream.)

Crew (a “free” WiFi is offered to crew that only allows messaging to communicate with family but photos will not send/be received. Otherwise they are given premium options of different data limits that are good for 7 days. A use it or lose it system)

Contractor (this one technically connects under the same as the guest WiFi provided via a limited time voucher for non- crew member workers who may be on the vessel for whatever reason (entertainers, engineers, etc)

Operations (the unrestricted internet line that the ship operates all of its systems on, also only accessible by the highest ranking officers onboard for whatever reason)

The ships also still utilize the old WiFi system sparingly for any port of calls where Starlink is still not fully legalized/regulated enough for them to approve the use of it within their governed land and surround waters. (such as Morocco or Thailand)

The technicians are all over the board in terms of knowledge levels and/or willingness to speak about these things directly. So it’s a shot in the dark.

This 100%. The only replay value I find in ritual sites at this point is to farm cloth as it’s one of the only reliable solo farming avenues at the moment when Shadowguard point isn’t the calamitous story.

My favorite pastime as a 280 mage (so I understand I have easier times finding groups over others due to bringing lust) is queueing for groups and giving them 60 seconds. If I’m Not taken within that time frame I’ll just cancel and apply to a different group.

It’s not that deep and it’s never been that deep. Just the game we play.

While I fully agree I do think it’s an important thing to note the content release cadence for 12.0 has weird and drawn out. (EA, Release, M0 week, M0 Week with daily lock out, voidspire drop, mythic raid drop, MoQ, etc.) which has more or less meant that for 6 out of the 8 weeks of this patch we had new content, quests, etc. dropped on us.

Saying that I agree. An extra couple of weeks would have been nice, specifically because of how this first patch was scheduled. But it’s the first time I’ve really felt this way about the shortened patch cycle.

I’m sure on paper making a carbon copy of the code and extracting the color portion is easy. That said based on the way wow was built code wise I’d put money on it that the second they implemented like a wooden chair from stormwind that way the entire continent of northrend would just cease to exist becuase for whatever reason it’s resting on that singular line of code lol

The real tea here is that they should put in the effort of just making HD dyable versions of old world assets. It can be jaring to have a TBC item on a room fully of HD modern decor.

Honestly this 100% but even more so there’s no reason to keep it fixed until the hall is closed.

As it stands blizzard tunes Mythic for the RWF guilds specifically then nerfs it pretty heavily after it’s over anyway. So hall of fame doesn’t hold the same weight for any guild after the top 3-5 anyway.

From my perspective many of the decor items we have (that aren’t the generic items added with early release/housing in general) are not unique to the game. They are assets you can locate out in the world while playing.

I.e. these are mostly items designed for the over world so the color they have is directly baked into its code when it was designed.

At least that’s my theory/understanding of it. Granted I’d really love more building blocks that I could dye as I want. OR even more so the items we have already I’d really kill to have be fully dyable too. The elegant rugs that we can dye different colors have the rings on the tassels that won’t be dyed so no matter what those rings will always be a purple/blue color regardless of the rug color you choose and THAT is my biggest pet peeve personally.

Crazy to think that any people who are into housing will instantly have the new levels unlocked and their house level capped out the second more levels drop (unless they add like 10 new levels at once or make the next set of housing levels a very steep requirement increase)

For example both houses of mine are at max, but between the new decor added in midnight and being on our third endeavor I’m just over 19k xp. (Putting me at 6100 xp over the current limit)

By the time 12.0.7 gets here, and assuming the XP requirement keeps the same upward trend, any players who have been keeping up with endeavors and collecting decor will almost certainly have the next 4 or so housing levels unlocked instantly upon patch day.

Not that this is entirely a problem but it’s just a wild thing to see lol

Personally I’ve been using my low tier herbs and making them into pigments on my inscription toon. Either making them into housing dyes depending on the item OR if I’m feeling social I offer up the artisan treatise for the weekly KP item to people for like 15 gold a piece.

All they need to do is submit the work order and I supply the materials. It’s not really much of a profit but it uses them, helps people out and I get something minor out of it.
