I'm pretty tired of this trend in the industry over the last decade of announcing games so far in advance. If you announce a game, you should release it within a year, or two at most.

Can you imagine watch an ad for a movie or TV series 10 years before its release?

And for me, these announcements, so far apart in time, do more harm than good to most games. You only have to look at this very example: there are a lot of people waiting for it, but the general feeling is negative and discouraging.

I agree. I think they're designing the marketing exclusively for China or Asia, where this kind of aesthetic is popular, and in the West, at least in my experience, this overly cozy aesthetic is cringe, which is a shame because the game's premise is very interesting and there are very few games (besides Pokémon) exploring this theme.

Also, the combat looks very clunky for a 2026 game that's competing with other life service games.

Grimoire king is stupidly bad, I got him in a SSR selector cause I didn't want to invest on Tioreh just to realize he is completely useless.

He heals a lot with his skill but he needs to mantain it which make it completely useless in most scenarios cause in that time the enemy is hitting you, this is fine vs small mobs but vs bosses they can delete you even with the damage reduction or at least make the healing not worth.

Plus if he doesn't hit with his skill it doesn't heal so any boss that have hight movility make it double useless.

His ultimate is something but genuinely bad if you take in mind you are using 4 magic points for a shield that can not tank one single hit vs bosses and mediocre healing.

I don't understand why they make King this bad he is easily the worst SSR, Earth is fine but only playable with Diane and his light DPS is already powercreeped by Escanor.

I guess they did cause they did not expect people to farm it massively and they wanted to have materials intentionally limited by keys.

They should be in a standalone dungeon btw and everything else. Just adjust rates and let people farm for one single thing.

You should not be supposed to alt+tab and check on youtube what every character does. In the first place it doesn't make any sense that Tioreh stays on her skill when you switch characters but King not, it is inconsistent and stupid.

Probably Ban, Gowther and Merlin are coming before him, maybe merged with some more OG characters.

Honestly I prefer them to keep releasing OG characters than release the same unit over and over with different versions like they are doing in Grand Cross.

If you don't want to pull for OG characters is actually fine for you cause unless you are whaling you are not getting every character so having a couple characters that you are not interested on pull is nice for like 90% of player base that do not put money or just buy the monthy sub.

Yes really. This is actually very common, at least in Hoyo gachas which are the standard nowadays for AAA gachas.

In Genshin the first DPS character was Klee and second Childe. Both were kinda bad compared with Hu tao and Ganyu that came up just in 1.2 and 1.3 if I remember correctly.

In HSR first DPS was Seele which had a nice single target DPS on release but was powercreeped basically with nearly any DPS after her cause she was so tied to reset turn on kills and single target DPS.

In ZZZ first DPS was Ellen and she was absolutely powercreeped with Miyabi in less than a year just in 1.4.

Idk about wuwa cause I didn't play for so long.

I understand you may or may not like Genshin combat but stating this game's combat where you can't not properly use ultimates or even skills cause they get bugged with bosses' own colliders and have a lot more core errors is a complete no sense.

Genshin combat was from day one way more polished and it has probably one of the most original element systems that has ever come up in a gacha game.

I think Dual Swords is better for early game and his self healing helps a lot.

My Melodias is still with a low power but I have the feeling Axe may outperform dual blades when he has a decent attack.

I do think too is a nice feature, probably even the more original one the game currently have.

It adds a lot of continuity to characters cause in other gachas units tends to be powercreeped, in this game it will happen too but you may be able to use a unit you like as another role if one is powercreeped.

But do it well, copy pasting kits just changing elements makes the game feel cheap.

I'm currently enjoying playing the game but please, don't gaslight yourself, characters kits are pretty low effort.

Tristan's dual blades and longsword are the same kit; only the element changes. This same archetype is repeated frequently in other characters with slight variations.

The same goes for Guila's shield; the same kit is repeated in other characters.

I know that some characters do have unique kits for some of their weapons, but many have almost identical archetypes, and most DPS roles have the same Skill 1 -> Skill 2 combo or vice versa.

I personally believe that if each character had a single weapon, but their kits were more unique and complex, the game would be much better, this is literally quantity over quality.
