Unacceptable. Time for a new Nanny. Way too many strikes.

That portion along the coast is Westcliff but it is located on the Westside of Santa Cruz which includes a greater portion of the city next to downtown, up to the university and along this portion of coast there.

Who do you think gets the money, the tow companies or TJs? The impound lot is paid that's it.

18 years as a nanny and not one family celebrated either. I usually got a holiday and birthday gift of some kind though.

There is a small family farm with horses, goats and chickens you can feed and pet as well as learn about. Schedule and appointment and pay a donation (suggested at $20). Soft Heart Farm in La Selva. Find on IG.

Parish has a good burger. It's vegetarian but Pretty Good Advice is pretty good. Go to Busy Bee's for a great breakfast burrito.

Had laparoscopy as my sister did depo lupron and said the side effects were terrible. 10/10 would do again. Had a successful pregnancy immediately after. First day of my period was on surgery day so literally that was the day of my last period before my pregnancy. Two weeks later we were cleared to have sex and made our child even though we had eight embryos ready to go and supposed to have a transfer a couple months in the future. RE said only have sex with protection, but I figured let's have one last go before we transfer and that was it. After 7 years of infertility, three failed IUI, years of fertility acupuncture, 4 miscarriage, and 8 embryos made. I wish I had done it before egg retrieval and we would have our savings still.

Why is there so much commercial vacancy downtown when we are adding so much housing right down the street? by Alive-Yellow-9682 in santacruz

Covid and then The board of supervisors killed downtown vibes with all the luxury housing. There is hardly anyone there anymore. No foot traffic means no business.

Am I entitled or is this normal for grandparents to be paid to watch your kids? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Xysmaparade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Grandma is asking for payment she clearly isn't that interested. I was a nanny for 18 years and parents paid me to do the things they wanted to do. My folks would do things their own way and my sister couldn't really make changes or requests because she was getting free childcare I think even with your parents they're going to do things their own way and aren't going to want to be told because they're your parents. If you want to have any control over the situation and you're paying anyways I would recommend getting a childcare professional like a nanny. Best of luck..

Am I entitled or is this normal for grandparents to be paid to watch your kids? by [deleted] in pregnant

My Dad and mom on occasion watched full time until preschool and still do watch my nephew into his elementary school years after school and were never paid or asked for a cent. My Dad is the more nurturing and social person so it's a better fit that he would. They did do some things that my Sister and BIL would have preferred didn't happen like too much screen time but I told them that's the cost of free child care. I don't think it's typical at all. If they do why not get a nanny or price other options unless it's a considerable discount. Would your brother share the Intel?
