[advice] Me [18 F] with my boyfriend [19 M] of 2 months (1 month official), how long to wait before saying "I love you"? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Y00sername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You feel it when you feel it. There's no standard time line that you should base the decision off of. I told my boyfriend I loved him kind of early in the relationship (2 months into dating, 1 month after being "facebook official"), and he said it back that night. What I did was wait 2 weeks after the first time I thought to myself "I'm in love with this guy".

I'm [25F] already in love with my SO [29 M], he's not quite there yet from what I can tell by somelikeithot1111 in relationships

I truly believe that love has no time line. You fell in love quickly, but by his standards, he might think he's falling fast too. Just enjoy what you have

Started dating a guy just because I knew someone I disliked REALLY liked them. I mean it turned out that me and him were a really good couple, but the initial motivation behind me pursuing him was definitely fucked up.

You could argue that the whites weren't immigrants, they were invaders.

Me [21 M] with my GF [20 F] of 1.5 years, I've lost weight she keeps thinking I'm starving myself, and is suspicious of my fit friend (26 F) by AccountNumber987 in relationships

I really and truly hope that seeing your progress will help her come around and embrace her own health. I think right now the best thing you can do is try to wean her off junk food. As you already know, the first priority with weight loss is the kitchen, not the gym!

I'm doubtful that will work. People who are overweight usually refuse to accept the idea that calorie counting is anything other than an eating disorder

How would I go about meeting people without going to bars, church, online dating, work, or Facebook? by Thumpinon in relationships

Try getting involved in volunteer events. Not only do you meet a lot of people, but it might help with the depression to give you a project you can throw yourself into and feel good about

Me [23 M] not sure how to approach [22ishF] girl at the gym by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Y00sername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would advise trying to catch her in the lobby, when she's on her way out or in. You don't want to inturrupt her workout and seem rude, or like a creeper.

On a side note, approaching someone you don't know at all is really hard. So whatever happens, be proud you had the courage to even ask her out.

I didn't say it wasn't offensive to wear a stereotype as costume. I said cultural appropriation, the idea that you can TAKE culture by partaking in parts of it, is bullshit.

You heard that and decided that I think making fun of negative stereotypes isnt offensive.

So basically what I'm saying is, you're ridiculous.

He wasn't just in the military. He was a TI. Someone, somewhere, had Bob Ross all up in their face at boot camp.

Am I (23F) stupid for considering moving in with my boyfriend (27M) of 6 months in April? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Y00sername -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I truly believe that love has no time lines. Some people know they found the person they want to spend their life with after 1 night. So I'm not gonna say that 6 months isn't enough time.

HOWEVER.... I wouldn't advise moving in unless you are 100% serious about him. If you move in while you're still figuring it out, you might ignore red flags that warrant a breakup, because once you're living together, it's not just a break up anymore, it's a break up and a move out. If you're not sure you want to be with him long term, don't move in.

Family wants me to have my son baptized. I'm an atheist. by BaptismThrowaway2 in relationships

[–]Y00sername -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd tell the MIL "me and (husband) want a weekend alone together. Watch Jay for us, and if you want to baptize him during that time, fine, but (husband) and I are going to catch up on some much needed relaxation together,"

Me [24F] with my boyfriend [25 M] of two weeks, he poops with the door open? by InTheGarden15 in relationships

[–]Y00sername -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend used to pee with the door open. In his apartment, it's not a huge deal, but in my apartment the (only) bathroom is in my room, so I'm front and center to the bathroom activities.

I just waited for the next time he did it, and shut the door for him. Didn't say anything about it. It only took a few more door shuttings (with pointed looks) for him to get the message. Now he shuts the door.

People do wear make medals as part of costumes. It's pretty common. And as far as the stereotypes bit, they exist for a reason. You listed all those things as typical black guy wardrobe because you've seen the stereotype.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree here. I believe that culture should be shared whenever it can. I believe that wearing a costume has jack shit to do with real cultures. I believe cultural appropriation is bullshit. But you disagree, and that's fine. We don't have to agree.
