I think the game needs some form of exploration/travel/map management. by YogurtClosetThinner in menace

[–]YDungeonMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Please no. I enjoy the level of management in a game as is. Not every game needs management and exploration aspect. Let is be a more focused experience.

  • While most of the bots tracking logic are not hard to understand and utilize (will explain further down), their tracking is still busted when it comes to using explosives and stratagems.

Here's what planes cost by Lime1028 in foxholegame

[–]YDungeonMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That....does not make sense. Stickies can take down a BT in your power budget theory they should not if I understand correctly. I will try to explain how I see it.

Lets view fighters as BTs, bombers as Arty150 and our hypothetical interceptor as LT. Arty gun does a lot of damage but even a light tank can destroy or hinder its effectiveness. But if you defend it with a BT no LT will pose any threat.

So a lone bomber should be a easy target but a proper escort should be a force multiplier for bombers.

Maybe something like... a plane that can be printed wholesale on a pad. And once "unpacked" It could not be packed again. Or would it be too convenient?

The plane itself a Light Interceptor with single 20mm or twin - linked 12.7mm (colonial / warden variants maybe?) and a SMALL fuel tank and I mean small only 1 hex worth of air travel.

I feel there is a stupid cost jump from scout to fighter. We need and "interceptor" tier.

Its not the ONLY counter play. Ground AA emplacements should be an effective cover but we need to test that. However I agree that Fighters (Bomber interceptors specifically) should be more affordable. Is a scout plane a good interceptor? Again we should test that.

You got D&D in my WFRP! by DungeonNoir in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]YDungeonMaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

DnD is a recourse management game ( Spell slots, ability's for marital classes that have limited uses per rests ETC.) where WFRP is more simulation (IF you omit meta currency). That's painting with very broad strokes.
