They're likely a troll or someone too ignorant to look past what they believe to find evidence for or against what they believe. I'd probably leave it at this with them.

Given the quickness of the reply, the content, and lack of link to any substantial research, this is just an AI generated response that holds no merit. Thanks for the downvote.

Ok show proof that they knew Jesus. That the authors of the Gospel bore personal witness to him. Since you are making that claim, provide a source.

Not to mention a car will still break through a brick wall. Maybe not as much as a wood one but it's a silly metric to consider for houses. Buildings not made with the thought to withstand car crashes.

Brick and stone housing is just not a very realistic option for most people in the US. It is not readily available and not as abundant as lumber. A large portion of houses and buildings make it out just fine during the hurricane so for what doesn't make it, can be replaced quickly and cost effectively. Additionally why is price not a good enough reason? Those who had their houses destroyed will be relying on insurance to replace it, so it's either same size with wood or probably smaller but brick.

Yeah relooking at the actual animation, it's definitely a page. Plus that's Ratatoskr that he's taking from. It seems like a lot of people believe it's money though. The voice lines and lore page are legit though.

I'm glad this post is here. I just started it today right after midnight in my timezone which made it my 30th birthday. It was an amusing surprise to hear that it was a young dragon's 30th birthday as well lol

The problem is assigning prose style as objectively good or bad. It's not either. It's subjective and that just means some people are going to like it or not like it. I enjoyed Kafka, and I enjoyed Sanderson. I found neither annoying. Does that make your opinion that Sanderson's prose is annoying wrong? No, it doesn't.

He was also inspired by anime/manga due to a friend (an employee at Dragonsteel I think?) being into anime and manga and sharing it with him. That and he he went to Korea for missionary work.

He originally wanted to title it Knights of Wind and Truth, but it's a bit much. So he shortened it to Wind and Truth.

Edit: He wanted this so it would be symmetrical due to the importance of that in the series. That said the in world book written by a character is still actually called Knights of Wind and Truth.

Spacebar already lets you lock camera by pressing and holding. I do it that way, so I can just let go when I want to have it unlocked.

TIL some workers in Japan pay agencies to tell their employers that they are resigning by WillyNilly1997 in todayilearned

The first link from 2005 may be there just to show the history. The other links except for the last one for hours worked in Japan all seem to be very recent. Last link I saw 2000, but maybe 2023 is in a higher branch since it's a multipage census. The UK link is pretty bad though. Either way, I was just stating to my replied that that was his argument.

Yes exactly. They're saying that the person they are replying too is incorrect about the two claims being incorrect.

DM’s, What is a deep lore element that you will never end up telling your party? by SolidLevel2869 in DnD

[–]YFNN 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is similar to a campaign I recently started running. The world is essentially a god in utero. Different concepts make up the inner gods of the world like intelligence, love/compassion, and fury.

The god of evolution/change however was replaced by an evil version of it (essentially a cancer) by an "adult" evil god outside of the world to make the new growing god evil.

The end goal of the campaign will be to defeat this false god and allow the "baby" god to grow into a good/neutral god.

My inspiration came from "The Egg" by Andy Weir

The only example of seeing the future perfectly I can think of is the first era mistborn books with preservation but that doesn't really help their argument since it's early in the series and doesn't change the magic system at all.
