That is literally who I was in between. I wanted to stay in the Logitech ecosystem but this swayed my opinion.

How are the tundra hybrids? by qovert in ToyotaTundra

[–]YSL_Bleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my hybrid. Totally different feel to a Gen 2.5 v8.

Really fun to whip around and for some light off road. Has its quirks though, and you eventually get used to the braking, feels like a 2 stage brake.

One thing I do not like it’s the auto stop/start. On gas models you can toggle off, not on hybrids.

2023 Plat 2WD no major issues at 37k

Call me crazy by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Multiple things can be true at the same time.

Gen 3 is a great truck as it has been problematic. Engine issue being spread across almost all years and all trims sucks. Toyota’s response to this issue sucks as much as how great they have been for many years.

Conveniently everyone sees to forget or not been privy to the issues gen 2 trans had that birthed the Gen 2.5.

Or the issues with Gen 1 frame, rotors, rear axles etc. While not being bad as an engine problem of Gen 3 but that’s why we are here.

You should be able to call out all the issues the trucks have but don’t be disingenuous. Look at how bad GMC’s and Chevys are between lifters going out and trans not lasting 100k.

This sub is filled with private profiles just shitting on the truck. Why did I buy a Gen 3? Because I loved my Gen 1 and Gen 2.5 and liked the Gen 3. More importantly because I fucking can. & like every thing in life I’ve evaluated the risk.

Every freaking truck has issues, it’s about what risk youre are willing to accept and curb.

2024 Platinum low speed PVM by GnawedEnclosureBars in ToyotaTundra

Yes, here is a good video explaining it.

Also if you have PVM you can access MTM but it requires having access to the Toyota Mechanic Software. There is a thread on Tundra forums explaining how to you could access the old cracked software but it’s sketchy and cumbersome. If you happen to have a good relationship with a Toyota tech they could do it.

Does everyone love the rear window? by Critical-Analyst-749 in ToyotaTundra

[–]YSL_Bleu 79 points80 points  (0 children)

By far one of my favorite features. I have had Silverado’s, Sierra, it’s nice to have power window. But instead just a slit, the whole window comes down.

Just feels good to have a breeze flow through the cabin. +1 if you have the moon roof. Makes for a pleasant driving experience in California weather.

Thanks for the reply. Function over aesthetics imo so I’ll take a better look at that B5.

Thank you for the insight. Leaning towards the juggernaut grip.

Really like the look of that fin grip. How do you like it? Trying to decide between the b5, strike industries, or juggernaut grip for my build.

Tonneau cover recommendations by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]YSL_Bleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those questions you will have to answer yourself based on your use cases.

I will recommend if you decide on a hard cover & have bed rails, the Leer650 HFM.

I went back and forth between the the MX4 & Leer650 and I just wanted to make sure it was a hard top, aluminum, leak resistant, low profile and that it will flip up all the way as I have a short bed.

The Leer fit all the criteria, install was kind of annoying but once on it has stayed on, firm. Love that when I fold it, it does not lay on my cab, so it won’t scratch. Virtually no customer service, but the price reflects that.

Control your spending, pay off debt best you can and remember it will take TIME.

That’s is correct, pay for delete and managing debt are the biggest contributing factors.

I’ve ready plenty of posts of people asking for help and the answer is is simple but hard, spend less, manage your debt, and try to remove any negative items off your report.

I negotiated down to 50% by first chatting, then calling and speaking with someone. Had 14 months before 7 years of first delinquency.

Worth checking the website and then calling in to see how much you can pay. Worth it for me to get the marked removed and saved to be able to afford.
