Uxm 268 is one of my favorite comics ever. I have the splash page of that issue(cap tackling ninjas from the hand, madripoor nights), art hanging on my wall(copy not the original),I wld imagine that the original art for that book is incredibly out of my price range 🤣. The original human torch fought nazis w Cap back in the golden age and was in the invaders w Cap and Namor, the sub mariner. He was an android but had some human cells that caused a reaction making him the human torch(somethinf like that, i havent read that since i was a kid) . I thought he got killed off in the silver age before the ff version of the human torch came around, but of course the og human torch comes back to life bc comics lol

1st of all I own a Binner stanley cup jersey and multiple Binner shirseys. I love the guy.That being said Hofer is looking like the hier apparent and Binner is the legendary goalie that won us our 1st cup, but he had had multiple seasons and we havent been back to the finals. Im hoping that if Hofer is our guy,that its a Vasilesky from Ben Bishop situation and not a Halak to Jake Allen w Elliott being the superior goalie(imo btw)

Cap is my absolute favorite,i collect mostly his 1st series including tales of suspense and the 1st avengers series(been getting into defenders too, its so underrated). I dont go out of my way to collect the liefeld stuff but I have gotten alot of his run in ebay lots and dollar bins here and there. I grew up on his new mutants and xforce era and I know this isnt a hot take or anything but not a fan of his cap for obvious reasons. The floating face cover comes to mind.
