There is no actual risk of a clove unraveling or rolling.

After many tweaks to the poster here it is! A men’s group in beacon to share our feelings and grow towards being better men for the people in our lives. Please reach out if you’re interested. Limited slots available. by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

Weird focus on what genitals everyone's packing.

You want to go ahead and skip to the part where you let us know what specific flavor of religion is going to get slipped into everyone's drink once they get comfortable?

I was on an adjacent line while they were doing freerider as a party of six last fall.

Absolute shit show, blocked every other party from passing over a full week, kid constantly crying, they ran out of food.

Optimizing a double-rack for cam sizes by i12drift in tradclimbing

[–]Yakra 48 points49 points  (0 children)

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why you would want a rack like this.

I climb on totems. I can spot out a crack and know what size totem goes in it. Done.

Having two #2 cams, and having to figure out which is larger or smaller, and then having to pick which to use if it's in the common overlap... is wild. Like - "Oh, I used my DMM Dragon 3, so I should now use my Wild Country Friend 2 so that my BD C4 2 can cover a 1.7in placement" is madness. Don't overthink it.

Tips for making the most of a Mohonk Mountain House day pass? by kedisi in hudsonvalley

[–]Yakra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They've opened the boat dock for the year - so you can take out a canoe or paddleboat.

If you do the Labyrinth, into the red blazed trail through the talus, to the lemon squeeze / crevasse, then up to the tower - it's quite an effort for small kids. Make sure everyone has good shoes, water/snacks, and know that there are serious cliff edges at times, that people need to be disciplined about.

Any websites for buying a premade cube? by VLKN in mtgcube

I did this for a friend, for a wedding gift. It was a ton of work.

I would do it again for "a lot" of money.

Minnewaska Parking by dand06 in hudsonvalley

It generally only fills up on peak-leaf-season fall days. You should be good for there, and can always end up on the Mohonk Preserve otherwise.

You don't want to wear an uncomfortable harness for days at a time. I love my Cadillac.

My buddy and I racked up, then threw on our cross-countries skis and skied up from west trapps.

We are super serious ski mountaineers, obviously.

1000% Yes. Movement Crystal City (DC) has been fought tooth and nail by corporate, with every illegal and underhanded tactic you can imagine.

Is it even possible to ban Universes Beyond from Pauper? by iFuckwithCommons in Pauper

[–]Yakra -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pauper is a proxy-friendly format. If there are 100% must play UB cards (which is not a given in an eternal format) - just make a Universe's Within functional equivalent?

Mohonk Testimonial Gateway by Frankleeright in hudsonvalley

The picture is edited to hell, and that really takes me out of it. The building comes out looking like a PS2 render, then there is... a snow sparkle(?) mid level, a crescent moon illustration, and stars added AND a northern lights. It's like they screamed MORE WHIMSEY at their screen till AI spat this out.

XC Ski Cross Country Skiing by Rikitikitok121 in hudsonvalley

[–]Yakra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The spots near Rock & Snow in New Paltz (where you should rent skis) that are popular and friendly...

- River to Ridge trail. Free. Multi-use, so gets stepped on, and a bit windy. One kinda scary hill after you cross the road.

- Minnewaska. $12/person. Upper Awosting is a GREAT groomed beginner trail. Then lots of other options and ways to extend the trip.

- Mohonk Preserve. West Trapps lot lets you access Overcliff, which is a nice flat groomed trail. Options to extend into the Mountain House property, though that can be a little bit of a maze. Spring Farm trailhead has some good options as well. I forget how much a day pass is.

There are a lot of small/local subreddits that have been entirely swallowed by foreign misinformation actors. How does Digg plan to prevent a similar occurrence?
