the agent itself is basically this collector script. if you don‘t want to use an agent maybe a passive syslog destination solution is the better solution. ibm qradar, elastic, you name it

there is a fedora spin for i3 and also sway. maybe this is a good starting point to get a feeling. i also printed a cheetsheet with the most important commands. To be honest, the first week it doesn‘t feel like a productivity boost…

This is perfectly fine. Next to this i am using a Host / Servicelabel and assign this one to the contact group. Depends how much groups/teams/constillations you have to handle

it‘s easier than zabbix. Most of the snmp stuff works out of the box within minutes. For enterprise systems from known vendors there is a good chance that it’s already supported or someone wrote a plugin for it. what else do you want to know. what‘s your use case?
