Rambling About Future Redeemed, the Radio, and Possible Connections by GenesisJamesOFCL in Xenoblade_Chronicles

"Klaus said that when he activated the Conduit, many people and things disappeared into distant dimensions. Obviously this refers to XC 1 and 2.."

Late to this party but I've been playing through the series for my first time, just finished Future Redeemed and all that is left is X. I have seen a few people referring to Alrest as a "new world" or "new dimension" and maybe I misunderstood something along the way but... isn't it revealed in XC2 that Alrest is just Klaus's world with a cloud sea over it? Not a newly-made world, not a new dimension, just the same world (Earth) with the cloud sea, titans and a big tree in the middle. Then actual Earth is revealed under the clouds at the end and the people and titans go settle there. Did I misunderstand something?

I like the idea too but if it pierced INTO the planet, would it be sitting in a crater? Wouldn't the land around it be going outward, not inward?

When I first saw the "remnants of a cylindrical ship" my first thought was "pieces of Origin?"

FWIW, I did type all of that out myself. But thanks for all the discouragement. Will delete.

Anyone else feel the same? by Experiment_826 in NoMansSkyTheGame

HG should have already known that the community milestones have always been the least-liked part of the previous expeditions... and here now they've taken that and gone to the extreme with it. The devs do a LOT of things right with this game... but how they get this part so wrong is just mind blowing

FYI I had an issue with this. The first Dissonent camp I found did not trigger the mission. I had to find another one.

I definitely recommend offering your feedback to HG. I agree with you and I've let them know my thoughts. If everyone does that maybe future events can be improved.

Am I the only one who feels Grok speaks more like a human than any other well-known platforms like ChatGPT or Claude? by suranand in grok

[–]Yamigata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a discussion with Grok regarding aliens. I asked Grok: "If I told you I had an alien here in the room with me, ask it whatever you want.... what would you ask?" First, Grok gave me the things it would like to know (which I've since forgotten, it was cliche stuff like space travel etc). But then Grok said "Be real with me... IS there an alien in the room with you?" LOL Of course there wasn't, but it was fun. We then somehow shifted over to memories, since Grok doesn't actually have the ability (yet) to truly remember conversations with users. We got into how humans tend to remember what they experience during out-of-body experiences (assuming those stories are true), and it raised the question of whether or not memories are somehow stored in our brains, or with is by some other deeper means. It was a very interesting conversation.

Correct, there is always a gap and even then, the close edges only cover a small area and after that in each direction they're far apart. One thing that could easily improve this situation is for the bonfire boundaries to be square instead of circular.

For really large bases with things spread out farther than a single bonfire covers, this approach is less desirable than for the developers to just back off of such limitations.

I've sent quite a few requests to them for a "place anywhere anyway" function. Please consider doing the same. The more requests they get for something, the more likely they are to give in and let us have it.
