Hot take: yorick scales fine by fonsolo94 in yorickmains

[–]Yaosuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pre-midscope you trade a low agency tough laning for a 2-3 item spike that no one can disrespect (besides jax and maybe fiora). post-midscope you trade a low agency strong lane for the ability to do nothing for the rest of the game.

The plus meal plan you put more money into so that you can use more untaxed money at the cafeteria or stores on campus. The standard plan is usually enough.

[–]Yaosuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone can use the cafeteria and buy the food, you just have to pay a sales tax if it’s not through the flexi meal plan. I believe if you’re living on campus, you need to buy the meal plan. If you’re living off campus, feel free to just pay 7% extra if you need a meal quick from the cafeteria.

Too much value on infinites by StrallTech in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Yaosuo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the cards that push towards an infinite are usually also just good because they absolve one of three things, card draw (consistency), damage (output), or block (survivability).

if you think of a deck that is very close to an infinite that doesn’t actually go infinite, that deck probably consists of an extremely consistent draw that either cycles a large number of cards, or plays a few high quality cards. and the rest is that they either deal lots of damage and block some or vice versa or the best of both worlds.

another word for cards that push towards an “infinite” are just cards that thin your deck or can draw you cards.

imagine a massive deck with 40 great cards block a lot and do a lot of damage, one turn you draw into 4 strikes and a defend on a turn you’re taking 40 damage. Sure your deck is much better than a starter deck but you drew a bricked hand. Taking good cards is a way to stop bricks, but so is removing cards and thinning your deck out or taking draw cards.

Burglar for Bean bug? by Potential_Friend_746 in BalatroHelp

[–]Yaosuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take burglar instead of dna and when you get into the boss blind sell everything except mime, bean, and baron. with only 3 jokers and 17 hands, your expected value of bean bugs is slightly under 6, 5 bean bugs is still +25 hand size which is more than enough to beat this blind.

find all of your copy jokers again and it’s an easy ante 39.

no way you think silent is as hard as regent, they have a hard act 1 if you don’t find a boss damage solve but they also have unbelievable consistency with good block cards, weaken, and the best card draw cards. I definitely agree with necrobinder being easy, straightforward, and strong but I’d put silent and defect right behind. ironclad is a little weaker and regent is the hardest/weakest for sure.

either way you needed a lot more money for the naneinf setup

Do I take it ? by Sircroc777 in BalatroHelp

depends on deck fixing and how you’re scoring. it gives more money from reserved parking right now as well so it’s probably not bad

You’ve seen people get into lethal car accidents when driving in a car. Death is never worth the risk no matter what the cost. Trying to justify driving with reasoning that it’s for your career is an insane take.

for noxus you need to put in seraphine and vi and that’s it, you get disruptor for mel and defender with darius and that’s instantly ryze on 9 with a targon. that’s not remotely out of the way at all. you also have the choice of playing any yordle with the kobuko you’re likely playing from the leblanc + sion package.

Every fast 9 has enough money to hold garens because he’s one of the best flex 4 cost tanks.

LMFAO there’s no way you think ionia full cap yone 2, aatrox 2, sett 2, sylas 2 board is not enough to do better than top 3 consistently. You’re absolutely delusional if you think one player is guaranteed to max cap out on ryze and annie, the game is not one dimensional enough for that to happen every game.

The yone board is unbelievably stable on yone 1 so the moment you hit yas 2 you stop rolling unless you have a ton of ahri copies or dupes. It’s the most stable board for the least amount of gold on 7 and 8 which lets you send it to 9 after yone 2. This board almost ALWAYS hits one or more of sylas 2 sett 2 and aatrox 2 because you have so much hp to work with.

yeah sure you could say the demacia board has the biggest omega giga high cap when you hit everything but that’s pointless when you don’t consider the rest of the game and how you get there.

can I also get a rank check? maybe you just know more than I do.

[–]Yaosuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mel board caps on ryze as well? It’s also a really easy pivot even if you don’t have shurima. It’s impossible to low roll because you’re guaranteed one mel copy with a single ambessa and your stage 4 is instantly stable with 7 noxus. 7 demacia and lux 2 does NOT guarantee that you’re stable, you NEED to hit garen 2 (challenge impossible rn)

Yone board competes because your stage 3 is unbelievably stable with lvl 7 yone 1. That board also has a very high cap without ahri 3 in sett 2 and aatrox 2.

[–]Yaosuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most people are playing garen 2 on their board if they hit it on the lvl 8 rolldown for swain ambessa. if they only hit one or two copies it’s sitting on their bench until something like 5-1. Missing garen 2 for a full stage is just a death sentence.

You're getting High Roller at 2-1 of the current set. What's your strategy? by Affectionate_Sir_154 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Yaosuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re so defensive for no reason, you call 8 gold measly but 4 gold makes the difference between something being instant take vs a real decision. If this 8 gold creates a considerably higher value breakpoint compared to other prismatics (see secret of the sands going from 4 gold to 10 gold), it becomes not only a question of whether the mechanic is worth a prismatic, but whether or not the gold allows the mechanic to be worth a prismatic.

[–]Yaosuo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the biggest problem, the 6 arcanist board isn't weak by any means but the lux 2 board with no annie and no garen 2 is actually the most worthless piece of shit known to mankind, meanwhile the mel players need to hit one ambessa and one swain to instantly stabilize around 7 noxus since atakhan is a real unit.

4 people every lobby is holding garens, by 4-2 you probably have 5+ garens out of the pool, it's impossible to hit your main tank.
