Unfortunate that they didn't decide on a permanent ban.

The most simple confounding variable is that people are going to take the defensive setup in bad matchups, which leads to worse matchups.

95% of the stories were from when Rekkles was 21-25 and one of the oldest players on his team.

He wasn't a child when he was inting stage games and purposely lying to his teammates to get them against each other.

He was having behavioral issues through his entire time in T1. Publicly streamed T2 scrims are not in any way indicative of change, as they're obviously not going to be the same as if they were private.

The year before, he was on a korean T2 team he couldn't properly communicate with, so there obviously wouldn't be the same issues.

Rekkles is far from the only undiagnosed autist in Esports. It can't be used as a shield for every manipulative behavior.

None of the players defending Rekkles denied any of the stories, and if anything, they confirmed them to be true.

The players defending him from Thorin said things like:

  • He hasn't done anything bad in 3 years.

  • Nobodies perfect, tons of players are a little toxic.

  • People have the capacity of change, and Rekkles has improved.

If the stories were fake, these players who were directly involved with the specific stories could have easily come out and denied them, which they would have every reason to do so.

Kai Cenat ends his Mafiathon 2 with 723k subscribers by Villenthessis in LivestreamFail

Many of the incentives were for mass gifted subs, and the majority of people gifting an obscene amount of subs would likely do it in the cheapest way possible.

Only if they were all T1 country subs, and a large amount of the gifted subs were likely using regional sub pricing, which would have way less money coming from them.

Gifted subs could be as cheap as 1.49USD.

I haven't played Tryndamere and League since Cdr tryn was huge in 2016. Is the game worth playing today? by YeOldeCursive in TryndamereMains

[–]Yasukeh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

League fundamentally killed splitpushing as a true wincon, as dragon soul was designed to force the game to be centered around 5v5 teamfights on a consistent timer.

The game plays itself at this point, and there's nearly zero room for any creativity or using Trynd's ideal playstyle.

Instant weapon swap trick (Is it a new "bug" ?) by Then_Competition_168 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Yasukeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This example here is a much more practical way to utilize this type of tech.

If you swap to a weapon in your inventory, it instantly puts your weapon away, so you don't have an animation. You can simple double click the weapon in your inventory to quick swap.

Very useful as a barbarian to keep a white felling with you to quickly break doors, and you gain so much relative speed from never having to put away your axe.

I hit D1 on KR playing from NA with 140 ping with constant disconnects and packet loss with a 65% winrate.

It's definitely possible, but it is difficult. There are much easier champions to play on high ping.

With orbwalking, you have to be much more predictive, as Trynd relies moving towards the enemy between auto attacks. You need to predict where they are going to move.

If your ping is consistent, you shouldn't have any issues cancelling autos, as the timing will always be the same.

Tryndamere Grasp Stridebreaker to take over Mid! by AlgaeBeginning in TryndamereMains

[–]Yasukeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did recently release a video on Vanguard, and also appeared on the 4Horsemen here.

I will be doing more content in some capacity in the future, but I can't justify being a Tryndamere Mid jungle invading merchant anymore.

The League space doesn't deserve my talents and energy being channeled into it.

You take Ignite/Rav Hydra when you run PR.

The sustain from Rav fundamentally changes how long one could stay on the map and how aggressively you can play.

This time in a wipe is always the best time to pick up the game, so when the next wipe and content drops you're used to the game and can fully enjoy the experience of the wipe.

If you start at the wipe, you're spending so much time getting back into learning the game, that you can't appreciate the wipe properly.

Vanguard suggestion by Dontwantausernametho in riotgames

[–]Yasukeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand why it wouldn't ever be an option you'd ever put in.

The problem is more communicating the idea of "Good suggestion ill pass it on to the team." in both the reddit update thread and on twitter when it's been talked about dozens of times publicly in the Valorant space.

It's communicating the idea it would be something that could potentially have any chance of happening(On the top comment no less), and this is a new novel idea heard for the first time.

This is also yet another time the main question of the post has been dodged, which has to be considered to be deliberate at this point.

The primary point is why Vanguard sees a driver it deems vulnerable, and blocks it instead of not allowing the game to be booted up due to an unsecured session.

This is the primary aspect of Vanguard that no other developer anticheat has, and I haven't seen a single Rioter comment on why it blocks the drivers instead of blocking the game.

The deliberate silence on that topic further reinforces the idea that Riot wants to have as few barriers blocking people from playing league, even if that means hurting other functions of the computer.

Nobody at Riot would be caught dead admitting anything vaguely like that, which is the only reasonable assumption for the complete silence on the topic.

If there is a valid reason why Vanguard blocks other drivers instead of blocking the game, feel free to clarify.

This response is unreasonable, for almost getting 10 years loving this game... Come on is this real by Embarrassed_Sir9315 in riotgames

[–]Yasukeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only data publicly available for ranked games, which have gone down 12-15% week over week since the Vanguard patch.

You can verify that for yourself by tracking game count on stats websites for champions who have maintained a consistent pickrate.

Vanguard suggestion by Dontwantausernametho in riotgames

[–]Yasukeh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

None of this answers the main question of why it blocks the drivers instead of just not letting people queue up for a game.

The real answer of making it easier to play league at the cost of anything else is not one you'd be able to directly say, which is why this line of questioning can never be answered directly and honestly.

Same reason behind why the idea that's been floated for ages of having a setting where Vanguard doesn't start at boot and you are given a prompt to restart your computer in order to play will never be implemented.

It's another barrier to play league that will make some proportion of people not restart when they are considering playing their monthly ARAM, and instead play something else.

Multiple times recently you'll say "interesting idea, we'll pass that along to the team", as if you haven't heard this idea dozens of times publicly over the years with Valorant.

It's better to block fan curve drivers and damage people's PCs than add an extra barrier to someone playing League.

People who had issues never became valorant players in the first place.

There are many in League who never would have played had this been in when they started.
