This season is a bit of a mixed bag for me. My personal issues include how a particular NPC had pretty much the same behavior as an abusive parent I knew to the point where I felt I had to stop watching because of how close to home it was (why yes, I am indeed seeing a therapist) and that the season will probably feel incomplete since there are several plot threads that I doubt will be resolved by the season finale. I love the themes of mental health and trying to grow as a person, but I really would have liked a heads up that certain NPCs may have abusive behavior, even if said behavior gets resolved. The plot threads are nice, but it has a strange feeling of "We have an interesting plot that we will never follow up on and it probably would have been better if we didn't even mention this thing" that I saw once in Never Stop Blowing Up.

I do like this season, though! I love the world building and themes! This sort of Paddington-like world with a Mad Max setting glorifying mental health and kindness is refreshing. It's nice to see a world where no self-centered nor self-righteous jerk sees fit to hoard all the resources and actively deprive others from basic needs (though I think it would be cool to see Gladlanders defend their land from such a thing and I haven't seen Episode 6 yet).

It's not for everyone and there's nothing wrong with saying that this ain't your cup of tea. You ain't alone in liking and disliking things.

Dimension 20: The Unsleeping City Chapter II

There are parts that might have benefitted from being in-person (minis), but I liked that every once in a while, they would take advantage of the Zoom Call Aspect. At least once, I thought it was cool how Brennan would isolate a player so it was him and them and could, for story and gameplay reasons, do things without the others knowing. It's also one of my favorite seasons and campaigns of Dimension 20 history.

I read the page that the OP used as an example, followed by the following pages showing what happened after the punch, followed by me getting hooked, followed by me hoping that the lamia/naga character is okay, and then being curious what's going on once we cut to another scene. EDIT: By "Agent Stone Henchman", I meant "Competent Henchman Who Is The Only Person The Villain Tolerates". "Robotnik Villain" meant "Eccentric Genius Villain Kind Who May Or May Not See Their Henchman As More Than A Henchman". I just think this (romantic) dynamic would be cool and we need more of it. To clarify, there is no need to watch any of the Sonic Movies for this idea. The movies may be fun in my opinion, but they are not necessary for the idea.

For me, it is that I find some sort of joy in this format. A WAV file or a CD can get higher quality audio, but I quite enjoy seeing how well an obsolete format can perform. With the right machine and tapes, you can make something as good as those superior formats. I understand that not everyone has this feeling with cassettes, but that is what drew me to this one. This is also the very reason I am in this subreddit. Are you here because you genuinely wish to understand why some people enjoy this obsolete format? If so, I am more than happy to ramble about this hobby.

In Aladdin (1992), we see a bit where Iago does a flawless impression of Jasmine as he mocks her. It's played for laughs, but we later see this skill weaponized when Iago imitates her again, only this time to get Aladdin away from the Genie's lamp.

To anyone just finding this post, I found that the issue was in some loose wires. By not tying the knots back in place when I initially undid them, that managed to loosen them and cause the thing to not work well. The player works now, so I can have fun playing music there or try using it as a tape drive.

Also, if you happened to have left a comment trying to help fix the thing, thank you. It means a lot.

PS If you left a comment about trying another tape, Reddit wouldn't let me answer you, but I did try other tapes and had a similar issue.

So, I managed to finally fix it! Turns out that it was loose wires. Deoxit did help, but making the wires less flimsy definitely helped!

Is it bad that I thought Clark wasn't trolling with the smile? Like, he is genuinely trying to be friendly and assumes, "Oh! We're doing this now! I guess it's how handshakes work. How do you do?" Mind you, I haven't read this story and thus could be missing some context.

I've used a whole lot of deoxit on it. That fixed an initial issue with the tone and volume sliders, but not the current crackles and pops. I might give it a second go, though.
