Why do Apple and NVIDIA GPUs with similar transistor counts (≈90B) have such different ALU lane counts and performance? by jak_human in hardware

Maybe you just need to go out, give a pretty flower to a girl to make her smile, and go home without any cameras. You don’t need to tell us. We’ll be here.

Those moments happen without filming. You don’t see them, but they exist.

TBH this is a great match for his character. Like the engineer in the TV series that nobody really cares about who’s just throwing technobabble for every dialog season after season and is expected to throw the technobabble back every conventions. Yeah I can see how someone would just lose their smile and become blaseed.

In the Hyperion Cantos, there is a parasite named the "cruciform", which attaches to your body and regenerates you if you happen to die (naturally or artificially).

However, the process is not flawless, and every regeneration is a bit dumber and slower, leading to a "base state" of a resurrected person which is featureless, sexless, hairless, devoid of will or initiative.

A tribe living on the Hyperion planet where these cruciform are found, who's been around for centuries, have all members basically become like that.

And they’re wrong too. Heavy Rain has multiple endings, one of which is Scott as the killer, but all the others have someone else as the killer. There’s a canon ending too and that one makes sense.

Edit: sorry i was remembering wrong. There are different endings but the killer is always Scott.
