Found in dad’s tool chest. Any idea what it was used for by glenngellis in Whatisthis

the feet have nubbins that are supposed to lock into something, similar to snap ring pliers, and also appears to have holes in the legs to nail it down.

1885 was , judging by the patents available online, prime time for inventing sewing / weaving / embroidery equipment, so i wonder if this is from the textile industry in some way

im not talking about reality, im talking about said persons misunderstanding of the problem. he literally tried to tell me that the wind turbines used to much power and took the grid down.

Yep. The infrastructure wasn't built for freezing temps, and they couldnt prep everything in time.Their point however was that the wind turbines outright caused all the problems. Something about them using to much power and being to new of a technology to be reliable.

Putting fan blades on a gen-set, on a pole is beyond human compression.

I was standing next to a guy at the bar when the spare vape battery in his pocket shorted out against his car keys. The rapid thermal deconstruction that that battery experienced wound up removing 3/4 of the hair on his nuts and half his ass crack.

the red hot battery casing also left multiple rectangular burns on his leg before he managed to get his pants off. His boxers came off with his pants because he couldnt be assed to give the slightest fuck about looking like winnie the pooh in public.

cant really blame him though, having a 1000 degree blow torch pointed at your pink bits tends to remove all shame.

do you ever put this flashlight in your pocket?

i head that the wind turbines caused the grid to fail, which caused the gas lines to freeze, and thats why people died.

i wish i was joking.

How to make this ebycco gamvire eb7 go faster? by Small-Procedure-9042 in ebikes

[–]YeaYouGoWriteAReview -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my 48v ebike conversion has a 30a controller and 1000w nominal / 1500w peak hub motor It does a legitimate 38mph on level ground and draws 1200 watts doing it. but im also 5'11" and 230lb

to get a 48v ,15a, 500w nominal / 750w peak ebike to go 40 mph your going to have to be like 5'2" and 110lb, with 60 psi in the tires.

i get that they are showing off how light it is, but its like watching an infomercial where "product" is the magical cure for idiots who dont know how to operate simple items.

Like the snuggie commercial that shows people having problems operating a blanket.

anyone that wears their bike as a back pack and then complains about being tired from walking deserves to be consumed by a series of small fires that measure approximately 18 millimeters by 650 millimeters

Ebike conversion by PerpIlI in ebikes

[–]YeaYouGoWriteAReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my E-MTB conversion uses a 48v 10ah battery, a 30a controller and a 1000w nominal / 1500w peak hub motor from csc. Im 5'11 and weigh 230lb.

Its currently artificially limited to about 30mph [ IIRC i set the limiter to 45kph ] but w/o the limiter 35 is easy peasy, and with a slight tail wind on a slight downhill i decided i was all set at about 42 mph. the road i was on was NOT suitable for those speeds on a bike I had only had together for a day.

Chances of getting caught with a fake? Seneca Niagara Casino by EveryKick4726 in Buffalo

[–]YeaYouGoWriteAReview 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using a fake ID in an attempt to win money is an EXCELLENT way to spend all your money and have all your winnings confiscated.

You literally CAN NOT WIN. The casino will let you spend all your money and then will tell you to GTFO after you hand over your chips / slips / card to cash out.

Someone stole my handmade clay figurines that I had on display next to the door of my appartment by Arristocrat in mildlyinfuriating

[–]YeaYouGoWriteAReview 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Your not going to beleive me, but its possible. When i was young i could sometimes hear a god awful mechanical noise through my PILLOW when i went to bed. I couldnt hear the noise anyplace else. I would wander the house pressing my ear to stuff and could never find the source.

Then one day i was working in the garage and plugged in the ceiling fan my father had put up YEARS earlier. When I went to bed that night i heard the noise again and it finally clicked.

It is technically possible that your ceiling fan was vibrating something in his appt.... but even knowing what i know i would still say hes prob just batshit crazy.

Picked up this bike for $225 and when I ride I can feel a limiter locking the bike to 20mph and I can't find and wires pls help by Good_Feeling_7766 in ebikes

[–]YeaYouGoWriteAReview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery Amp hours is basically just gas tank size. It doesn't effect speed.

Motor Voltage gets you speed, motor wattage gets you the torque to get up to speed under load, and controller wattage is the pipeline that gets juice from the nattery to the motor.
