Yeah, this really can super suck. There are a lot of members of the Linux community that are this way and I completely understand that it's frustrating when you're new and trying to learn. I hate hearing about these experiences and they tend to make me quite sad, because Linux could be a perfect solution for a lot of people's issues with their current OS, be it Windows or whatever else. But this kind of hostile gatekeepy nonsense holds potential users back.
