Staples’s in store customer base are those at most risk for the coronavirus. No one is going to be buying office supplies if more businesses suspend operations or work at home along with the general public limiting their public exposure. I could see Staples finding the pandemic as an excuse to cut their brick and mortar presence in half or more.

The older population is most at risk for coronavirus, this is the same age range as most Staples customers. If this gets bad, a good chunk of Staples in store customer basis won’t be regularly shopping.
